Just wondering if anyone uses scent on their jigs? If so do you think it makes a difference? Also, would anyone recommend a certain kind or company? I am thinking about trying some and just need a little direction. Thanks Phil

You can use Megastrike on the skirt. I also like to dip the trailer in JJ's Magic.

Rage Tails have a coffee scent, people use them as a jig trailer.

I use a product called CBs Hawg sauce, and it has made a difference and I never believed in them at one time. I make my own jigs and the skirts that go O the jig are made by me too and I once got material that smaelled like it was soaked in gasoline, the smell was keeping the fish from eating it, they would pick it up and as quick as the pick up they would spit it out. Well I put the hawg sauce on and the fish went from spitting it to holding on to it so I now use a a quick spray before my first casts, I don't think it attracts the fish but I do believe it does mask other oders and it keeps the fish holding on a little longer which can make the difference between getting skunked or having a great day.

yep megastrike is awesome. pro cure is a great product as well. i find myself using scent a lot more these days as ive noticed that bass do hang on to the bait longer. ive also noticed that at times it does make a difference between getting none to a few bites and gettin bit almost every cast, just depends though.

Megastrike X2.

I have the original and have not tried the other flavors.

You can also hit your jigs with Carolina Lunker Sauce or spray them with Gulp! or YUM or other sprays.

I usually hit my jig skirts with Carolina Lunker Sauce in either the Crawlic, Crawfish or Garlic scent.

I have used Megastrike. It helps so much when it comes to slithering my jig through weeds and such. However, I've found that if you have a jig skirt attached with a rubber band, like BooYa jigs, the skirt will slide off the jig head and sometimes out of the rubber band itself. That's how slippery Megastrike is.
I know the solution to this is probably to buy higher quality hand-tied jigs. That's why an order to Northstar will be in my near future.

I use the clear JJ's and like it a lot! I tried Megastrike once in the winter and I might as well have put gum on it! It all stuck together and I had to wait until spring before I could use that jig.
