went out today to see if i can get up on the the good after rain bite started at 8 got him around 1045 was crazy fight getting in boat fought strongly for about 5-6min. straight non-stop pulling hard!! but drag was set tired him out and got him in the boat for a fashion shoot he was 24 1/2 inches and about ? everyone guess's between 4.5 - 7lbs. or so but barely could hold him up if you notice my forearm muscle is flexxed cause he was heavy took about 10min. to get photos cause i couldnt keep him steady long enough . and yea i kept flushing him in the water and he recovered safley !!!!!! had fun today!!! named the old man tugger. Took some advice from my bud Jeremy at(killinitoutdoors.com) used a zoom frog!

lol i had some 8lbers. before and 7, and 6 but no were near this heavy im just saying ... and ohhh yea froggin is best in my book keeps them going crazyy!

Basshunter.....nice fish and congrats. Frog fishing, as well as top water fishing is great fun. My favorite! I would suggest getting a scale even a cheapo. I would put your fish somewhere near the 4.5-5lb range. I don't want to be the one to burst you bubble and please don't take this as being mean. I think a scale will help you with reference to your fish weights from now on! Still great fish, and congrats!

Im with Mod on this. You should have seen the first "8# bass" I caught... more like a 5 :grin:

Either way its awesome. Any bass over 5# top water is a real rush

well ty.. and nice catches btw and this is the pic that im going by this is not the bass this is a bass my bro caught a week or 2 ago but i will consider on getting a scale and ty again no hard feelings im here to hear advice not take it in a wrong way :) and my brother fishes big boys for years now so i also consider his word as well and this one was smaller then the catch todayPosted Image

BassHunter, it's a nice fish what ever it weighs. As long as you had a good time catching it the actual size isn't important. As close as I get is a length measurement based on a mark on my rods, a scale weight or picture only happens if someone is walking by.
