My title says it all. The colors and style of plastic traiers i use are being discontinued little by little. But they still offer worms and shad in my colors. My question is if i make a mold can i melt down the worms to make my trailers??

I may need a few molds to make this happen too. I want to make special trailers in 5'', 6'' and possibly 8''. I am totally into making this happen.
The fish are out there just waiting for you to throw the right lure along with the correct presentation so why are you still here?
Motivation is the key to success.....
Remember on a bad day just throw the lure you never tried yet.....

It's been a long time since I've poured plastics, but I used to melt some and re-pour. It worked great with black but translucent colors all got duller. I'm talking colors like motor oil, grape and the like.
I went on a diet, swore off drinking and heavy eating, and in 14 days I lost two weeks---Joe E. Lewis

I wish zoom would produce motor oil, no chartreuse tail, just straight motor oil.

Just went to their website GK because i saw your post and couldn't believe it..they have motor oil listed as "distributors special"!! ??

Seems like it should be a standard color for a big production company like ZOOM??

down to my last 2 packs of motor oil trickworms too. :mad5: .and i'd like to add GRAPE to the list..one of my favorites no longer offered by ZOOM!

I found Zoom motor oil trick worms at Dicks Sporting Goods last month, you might try there.

This is not meant to be a promotion but if you are looking for old zoom baits and colors.

A few years ago I came across a mom and pop tackle store called Aberdeen Bait and Tackle in Aberdeen, North Carolina. The owner has been buying Zoom plastics (along with many other lures) in bulk for years. He has every color of every zoom bait ever produced. Even the special limited runs. If you really want some of those old colors and don't mind paying for shipping, it wouldn't hurt to give them a call. The owner's son Robbie handles all the phone orders and ships pretty quick.

He also carries just about every Lucky Craft lure you can think of and I even found some old Poe's Cedar Cranks in a dusty corner of the shop. It's an awesome place.
