Hey gang. Just wondering what the current bass spawning situation is in WI. Everything I am reading says that patterns are a few weeks ahead of schedule. I'll be in northern WI at the end of the month, starting to plan of post spawn patterns. Thoughts?

I would just go out and scout the areas your going to be fishing, and then if they are making beds, it shouldn't be too long..... Plus they'll still suck in your lure.

i cought one fish on a bed this weekend and it wasnt a male, it was a 4.5lb female! all i was seeing were males on beds. only on one lake did i see fish on beds... i was on 5 different lakes in the burnett county area.
i would say post spawn by the end of the month maybe during.

Thanks guys. Just trying to figure out what the pattern will be by the time I get there. Keep me posted with updates if possible. I'll be sure to report back on how it went.

I was out yesterday and I did fish Sun.+ Mon. on 3 lakes in SE Wisconsin and the one I did fish yesterday was a super clear lake and the bass were EARLY pre spawn! No males up shallow, but we did get some in the 8 to 12 ft.range that were males on weedlines. The other two lakes they were just a few beds with males up. And up in the North part of the state is often behind the south part of the state. We had the big warm up in March and that did kick everything ahead about 3 to 4 weeks. But then we had cold weather, rain and some very cold nights that cooled the water. By the end of March, some of the lakes that I was on were low 60's and now on the same lakes this week there were mid 50's to upper 50's so it became a normal spring. The bass that were on beds ( males ) came off with the change.I would say that maybe, a week maybe two weeks ahead now! You should hit them in the spawn period with some warm weather. Thanks guys. I am in north cental wi. Maybe I can help. Usally the bass are getting ready to spawn or have buy late may or early june. But this weather has not been to normal this year. It has been 70 plus for a few weeks straight now. For the last 5 or so days. It has been 80 plus. But this far north it has droped to below 40 at night during that time.
A site you need to check out is lake-link.com. There is fishing reports by county. They list almost every lake or river in that county also. Or if you want you can just type what ever body of water you plan on fishing in the search bar. It is usally just locals that writr the reports.
