Quick question:

So Lowrance tells you that you need a drill to drill a hole for the transducer screws, but never tells you what size drill bit....anyone know?

Can i assume its the same size for the HDS Sonar Transducer screws as well?

Thanks

You can't just eyeball it? Use one slightly smaller than the screw threads.

start smaller to err on the side of caution, you can always go a little bigger.

If mounting the ducer directly to the transom using the provided screws, installation instructions call for a 1/8" drill bit. But I just always compare whatever screws I'm using to the drill bit to ensure that what I am drilling are pilot holes (i.e., smaller than the screw diameter).
