Hello Everyone,

A buddy and I found a large lake to start fishing on yesterday. The water is rather dark. it is filled with a lot of grass, fenceposts and many large docks. Does anyone have any lure tips for such a lake.I was using a Rapala bluegill crankbait and a Strike King white and red spinnerbait and I didnt get any in the boat. Any advice is appreciated.
( If you have any bowfin tips that'd be great too.)

First you need to see what kind of baitfish are in the lake, you said there is grass...you are in FL so the water temp is steadily rising. Find the deep water with structure or grass. Fluke, trickworm, and some sort of top water may do the trick....I would also look into punching, if the grass is thick.
