I have been hearing mixed reviews about the Hydrowave. A few people in our club have recently gotten them and say that it really brings up the baitfish. I don't have any first hand experience with it. What is the opinion of those that have first hand experiences with them...did you think you caught fish you wouldn't have without it...did it keep a school biting longer, etc?
Hydrowave...yes/no?

I have one and I like it. Do I think it helps me catch more fish? Don't think that to be the case, but there is a noticeable difference in the duration shad will stay if you have it on in my observations. I have found that you don't want to run it on a continuous loop, shad will push right up against your boat. If you run it in 30 second intervals, shad seem to keep some distance. Does it increase my catch, not really, but I do think when fish are schooling it helps my odds to catch fish. Shad stay up against the surface and schoolers chase them longer giving me more chances to cast to them. I have had one for about 6 months and do not regret the purchase.

A few guys on another site were saying they have been having hardware issues with them. Mostly moisture getting into the electronics on the deck and not working. And if not hooked up right they will still drain a battery while shut off.

I'm still working the kinks out of the Color-C-Lector. Then I should get my Ph meter out of it's box. Next on the list would be all those lures banned from tournaments (and here on BR).
I guess I'm just going to miss out for a while longer.

Yes get one. Best money I've spent in a long time. You've got to play around with the different settings and they work for different situations. I can't count the number of times I've pulled into a fishing area, drop the trolling motor and the shad and bass start blowing up and the other fishermen in the area look at me like what the heck the baitfish and bass haven't showing their heads until this guy pulls in. If it cost twice as much as it does I'd still buy one.
