Just recently to decided to get into this fishing business seriously. My Dad is retiring again and decided to buy a new boat which I will have full access to a Alumacraft 185 Pro with a Mercury 115 fourstroke. I live about 20 min from KY lake and I just bought a camper on a permanent spot so I decided to give this bass fishing business a try. I have fished quite a bit in my life but mostly catfish and casting a spinner bait up and down the banks of local ponds so I am pretty new to this type of bass fishing. We bought some type of DIS fishfinder which I hope i can learn to use haha. The last time i fished seriously we didn't have any kind of technology like this. I also picked up two lews reels on shimano rods. One set up for worms and jigs and one for crankbaits. Anyway I'm looking forward to giving this a try. Any info or tips you all want to throw my way would be greatly appreciated.

First, welcome to the forums. There are a lot of nice people here. To begin with, I would recommend that you click on the Fishing Articles tab at the top of the page. There is a world of information there.
