Are you sure you posted it correctly? The reason I ask is because it doesn't show up in our Recycle Bin and all thread that have been deleted go to the Recycle Bin.

Gene I saw his post up at some point today, because I remember it having circles around the blemishes on the reel. Don;t know where it disappeared to!

I'm with Flukemaster on this one. I was the only Mod on line at the time of your posting and I certainly didn't touch it. When we Mods delete a post we always tell the members why we did so. Gremlins, I guess. Post it again.

Yes, it was removed (I found it). Last post was from somebody saying they'll take it and PM you, and you responded "PM received!"

Item sold, thread removed.

I am new here, but on my other forum if there is something for sale in classifieds you will see in the thread a back and forth from the OP and any interested parties. It is up to the OP to respond with a sold response indicating the item is no longer available, Also the thread title would be edited to add SOLD... dont know if it would help here or not but that seems to work on the other site...

Some forums do a 72 hr BTT rule that works well. If the seller bumps the listing for ANY reason within 72 hrs of the last post, the thread is locked for a pre-determined period of time and a warning given. Repeat offenses result in thread deletion and punishments for the offender.

The mods here appear to read every single thread anyway, so it wouldn't really be any extra work to enforce.

Yep, seller verifies item is sold in thread is how it works at other forums. Some people ask for thread to be closed after that but isn't necessary. Anytime I ever sold a product I don't post pm sent, received, etc. It's unnecessary and could cause confession as in this instance. I simply state items for sale and when they are sold I state items sold.

Simple miscommunication, stuff happens some times :)

I like the idea of sellers responsibility to place "Sold" in the subject line, but would everyone do that?
