Water dictates color for me so what works for me might not for you. I I have used every rage tail except the eliminator and Shad. They all produce fish for me. The space monkey is an excellent flipping bait. My favorite would have to be either the lizard or Hawg. I can't put down any of them though.

I rig them all Texas rigged with a 1/8Oz to 3/8 for deep water. the craws are insane as a trailer. The 10” Thumper is THE BOMB for fishing deep waters in summer.

Lately I've been C-rigging the Baby craws on a 1/0 EWG hook and doing well with them. They're surprsingly durable when fished that way for a relatively small bait. The bass eat them well and stay hooked. I'm starting to really like that bait.
I'd rather be fishing

I am late to the rage tail party, but I like the Toad, Shad, and grubs......the craws are not in my arsenal, nor will they be. I have had too much success and confidence in Paca craws to ever switch.
I am not afraid to suck.

Space Monkey: Rage Rigged, Texas Rigged, Carolina Rigged and on a Swim Jig Head. Black/Blue,

Grubs: Deadly on a Jig head, Swim Jig Trailer

Craws: Flat out ridiculous as a jig trailer, Rage Rigged

I have thrown the falcon lake craw on a jig head while bed fishing. Makes the claws stand up in the defensive position. Although i didnt do very well with it, i cant say if it was the craws fault. I threw everything at the few bedding bass i saw this year and couldnt hardly hookup with any of them.

Try a keel weighted hook or swimbait hook with a screw lock. Its called " the rage rig". It gives it a a different fall and allows the claws to flappy a bit differently than a traditional T rig. Flukemaster actually made a video of it. You can find it in the fishing videos section i believe.

I am giving the space monkey's a try tomorrow morning in a tournament. Have the black/blue T-rigged with a 1/4 oz weight on it. This is my first time to use the Rage baits.

Good Luck in the tournament kylek!! Space Monkey's are one of my biggest producers. They can be fished as a topwater bait on a 4/0 Screwlock hook, Rage Rigged on a 4/0 1/4 oz keel weighted screwlock hook. Bass kill it on the fall. Lately I've been using them on a 1/4 oz swim jig head and they hammer that as well.

I love the Craws, Baby Craws, and the Thumper Worms. I have some Space Monkeys and Lizards but I haven't tried them yet.

  • Favorite Lake or River:The Yampa River, Colorado's best smallmouth fishery. Lots of 2 - 4 pound, obese bronze bombers in this river. Connected Lakes is my favorite lake, just a group of small gravel pits, no bigger than 100 acres. No monsters, but lots of 2 - 5 pound largemouths and the odd 6 - 7.

I use the shad and it is one of my best topwater baits, outproducing a normal buzzbait in many waters. The chunk is my favorite jig trailer and I had one of my best years on jigs this spring. I also have the space monkey and they tear it up when pitched into cover and shade.
