Pumped to have gotten some Havoc baits for $1.50 at Dicks a couple days ago. I believe the sale ends 7/23 or something around there - it's 25% off clearanced priced items. The baits I got were Craw Fattys in Louisiana Bug, and Hawg Hawg in green pumpkin/blue and smokey green pumpkin. Never tried these baits but have good reviews...

is it all clearance items cuz that's how I got my citica for 45 bucks last year and hoping to do it again this year but stock up on revo's but if its just baits that wont work

anything ending in .97 or .47 is clearance and an additional 25% off the red tag. Look closely to others though, sometimes a clearance item doesn't have a red tag there and you can miss a sweet deal.

There aren't many good deals as far as rods and reels go. Last year there were a bunch of baitcasters from Shimano on clearance because they redid their lineup. This year there are some Shimano spinning reels on clearance. I think it's just the Symetre and Saros models that are marked for clearance. As far as rods, there may be a few St Croixs but that varies a lot between stores and then some cheapo Daiwa and Field and Stream rods and a few Carrot Stix and Skeet Reese rods. Also, the Daiwa Takara baitcasters and spinning reels.

Other than that, it's mostly terminal and lures. I saw a lot of Strike King (Rage Tail and otherwise) some Zoom, some YUM, a bit of Powerbait, a BUNCH of Havoc, some Strike King hardbaits, some Bandit, some Xcalibur, lots of Rapala, some colors of the Reaction Innovations Kinky Beavers, some Terminator spinnerbaits and buzzbaits, and a little bit of Big Bite stuff.

For the most part, there will be unmarked clearance stuff. There's just far too much of it to go through and find all of the lures that dropped to clearance. Some stores will be better at others than separating the clearance from the regular price stuff.

For what it's worth, that might be regional. I have not heard any such communication as of yet.

I've been busy working so haven't had any time to get out to Dicks yet this week. My buddy swears he saw a Abu Garcia Pro Max with Vengeance Rod combo on sale for $60, but that seems too cheap to make sense. I'm thinking it was either a vengeance rod with a shoddy reel or a Pro Max reel with a shoddy rod lol. Not that either are exactly top of the line, but for $60 I'd pick up that combo regardless.

Just from looking at catalogs, it doesn't seem like they have much Shimano or other high end rods/reels on clearance, although there are a few Rapala hardbaits I'd like to pick up for ~$3.

Yes, those combos were on sale for $79 plus a $20 rebate that makes them $59

At the very least they should have had regular price lures buy 4 get 1 free. As for the clearance, like I said, some stores are better than others at pulling out and labeling the clearance. I'm sure they have clearance they probably just haven't scanned it and separated it from the rest.

Hmm, maybe I didn't look hard enough then. I didn't see any clearance items marked, so probably they haven't separated it from the rest, like you say.

looked at the online flyer and didn't see 50% off clearance fishing tackle/lures. the 25% off sale was in last weeks though.
