My OEM Lowrance X3 on the console of my Fisher Marine Marsh Hawk 165 broke so I bought a Lowrance Elite 4X to replace it.  Then I got a discontinued new in the box Eagle Fishmark 320 for a price I couldn't pass up and was going  to use it replace my Eagle Fish Easy that is on the bow.

Would the Fishmark 320 be a better choice for the console and the Lowrance Elite 4X for the bow?

Thanks in advance for your reply

Personally I would prefer the larger screen at the bow..........because it is farther away from my eyes than when I am sitting at the console.  But that's because I have old eyes. :cry4:

I disagree for those two units.

Both have the same display resolution.

While the 320 has a wider screen than the 4X, only the very first vertical row of screen pixels on the right side is current data, all to the left of it is HISTORY.

The screen width makes no difference, it just determines how long something that is not within the sonar coverage stays on the screen before it scrolls off the left side.

The 4X has a color display and a brighter backlighting; that is more desirable for a bow application in bright sunlight since the screen will be tilted up for viewing.

No neither has GPS and/or mapping.

The Elite-4 has GPS and is about $130 more

The Mark-4 has GPS but is mono-chrome and is about $30 more

The Eagle Fishmark 320 was discontinued several years ago.

I think NAVICO has discontinued the whole line of Eagle products.
