Glenn, I asked a question about Senkos a day earlier and received no answers. When I rig a Senko with a small thin glass rattle, do you (or anyone else) think it changes the designed motion o the Senko on the fall? Irishrover.

That was posted just a few hours ago. Patience young Jedi, patience. ;D

All, please post your questions separately. This thread is not for new questions. It's simply a directory of other posts.

Thanks!

Its funny with my first year of having success with using senko type baits. For some reason I thought i had the holy grail of bass fishing when i has so much success when the weather changed from spring to summer. Every senkos I wacky rigged on a carolina setup and twitched I caught fish. For some reason my success has slowed down and i'm not sure why? I'm not sure if they picked up and learned my presentation/bait or my scents. But the fish did learn something from me because they have backed off from the senko's. Remember I fish the same three places everyday, i'm in the same spot. Well Its time to read and learn for next season i guess. I'm going to try harder next year.  No question here its about staying focused and motivated and not giving up.
The fish are out there just waiting for you to throw the right lure along with the correct presentation so why are you still here?
Motivation is the key to success.....
Remember on a bad day just throw the lure you never tried yet.....

We used the daiici octropus hooks for wacky rigging senkos this year, they were a bit cheaper and worked just fine.  No complaints.  We used them in red.

I just noticed last night however, that BPS is now making a red octopus up to a size 2/0 and they are $3.99 for 20 so I ordered up a couple boxes.

Nice information on senkoes. I use them primarily and they have worked for me. My personal best bass was caught on a green speck senko.  :D
