What is the largest fish,( any fish), you caught on the smallest line?

I caught a 55 # Sailfish on 10 # test back  in the 70's.

No way I can compare to that!! That's amazing! Kinda like those guys who fish 2lb test for sailfish....

I'm thinking it was a 6lb bass on 6lb test line a few years back.

I never heard of 2lb line for sailfish. Now that would be a feat.

I caught a 15 pound carp on 8 lb test last year. It made about 5 runs and took me 15 minutes to reel in.

as I have prefaced before- unfortunately I have just taken these pictures of the guy I was fishing with- and lost fish of the same size and circumstances.  even have video if I can figure out how to put it up- complete with my facial expression after 45 minutes with it on.

10# line- plastic worm

and 12# line- Hopkins shorty.
