Super User Jigfishn10 Posted April 6, 2014 Super User Share Posted April 6, 2014 A great start to a Sunday morning. Got up had a cup of coffee, took a shower only to find out that my shower/tub drain decides to clog. Took an hour to drain. Got out the drum auger and cleared the obstruction, but I can think of better things to do on a Sunday morning. Enjoy your Sunday folks!

Super User Redlinerobert Posted April 6, 2014 Super User Share Posted April 6, 2014 clogged drains suck. My folks house that was recently purchased had some plumbing issues. Ended up having to have the main line replaced the size of the hole through the pipe was smaller than my pinky.
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted April 6, 2014 Author Super User Share Posted April 6, 2014 It's always somethin ....! Lol! Glad you popped it open! You're not kidding. One year it was the stove/range followed by the refrigerator a week later. That wasn't fun with 2 kids under 10 y/o at the time... clogged drains suck. My folks house that was recently purchased had some plumbing issues. Ended up having to have the main line replaced the size of the hole through the pipe was smaller than my pinky. Ouch! To quote a Dean Martin lyric: "Ain't that a hole in the boat!"

Super User SirSnookalot Posted April 7, 2014 Super User Share Posted April 7, 2014 My 4 am Sunday morning awakening a few months ago. I could have stocked my home with fish. Where do you get an emergency plumber at 4 o'clock Sunday morning?
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted April 7, 2014 Author Super User Share Posted April 7, 2014 What, you don't enjoy fishing hair out of the drain? ...I'm not sure what's worse, fishing out the hair or having to remove the hair off the end of the snake with the accompanying black water. Either way, I had to do it twice!...
Super User slonezp Posted April 7, 2014 Super User Share Posted April 7, 2014 Hair is much easier than roots. The house in WI has to have the drain rodded out once a year. copper sulphate doesn't work worth a darn. I'm hoping to have the offending tree down this year.
