BooyahMan
Any type of small rooster tail type spinner will work. I even got the local stockers just stringing together some dollar store beads and a size 1 French blade with a bit of maribou tied to the hook. Lucky Craft Man
Are we talking stocked trout or wild trout? Stocked trout will take about any brightly colored fly. For wild trout, I would have to say the Beadhead Pheasant Tail would be my favorite.
Super User Catch and Grease Posted December 5, 2014 Super User Share Posted December 5, 2014 What kinda trout? For speckled trout I love a popping cork with a gulp shrimp on a jig head underneath it!

Super User buzzed bait Posted December 5, 2014 Super User Share Posted December 5, 2014 Panther Martin, black with gold blade and chartreuse spots all day everyday.... either 1/8 or 1/4oz and it will tear them up. if you get tired of catching them like that, switch to a yellow, with red spots and a gold blade, not as many trout bites as the black, but catches a few more smallmouth along the way....
Super User J Francho Posted December 5, 2014 Super User Share Posted December 5, 2014 Panther Martin, black with gold blade and chartreuse spots Up here, back and gold, black and yellow, black and chartreuse drives brown trout CRAZZZZY in fall. I really think they're eating all the kamikaze drone bees that were kicked out of the nest for winter.
