DirtyDeuceGoose
Quick question/ fact check: By swapping spools in a Steez (103 to 100) it would change the braking profile from Mag-V to Mag-Z right? I think I read this somewhere but now I can't find the information anymore... Currently looking to replace the SV spool I sold and possibly add a Steez 100 spool to the lineup as well. Thanks all
Super User rippin-lips Posted May 6, 2015 Super User Share Posted May 6, 2015 You are correct. 100 = Z - heavier baits 103 = V - lighter baits Z is less finicky from my experience.
DirtyDeuceGoose
Thanks for the confirmation, and I agree that Z is far less finicky. Time and place for everything. Though an SV might just solve the problem in a one spool package.
Super User rippin-lips Posted May 6, 2015 Super User Share Posted May 6, 2015 RCS 1016 would be a great comprise between the 100 and 103. I swapped my 100 spool for the rcs, and then to the SV 1000 I bought from you. I really like the SV but it's a bit too controlled for certain things. I purchased the ss sv reel and that sv spool is even worse yet.
masterbass
Personally, I like the 103 spool just fine as long as I use braid. For some reason when I try to use fluoro it gets wild. I can pitch, cast, or skip nicely.
