Brian4618
I need to add more braid line to one of my reels, is there a knot I can tie 2 ends of the line together with without it coming apart?

Super User SirSnookalot Posted April 2, 2009 Super User Share Posted April 2, 2009 I don't get too fancy with knots and I join braid all the time on my tarpon outfit(20#PP). 2 cinch knots 6 twists and I take my time and do it in a non windy area, singe the loose ends with a cigarette, this will prevent pull thru and drop of super glue doesn't hurt either. This work 100% of the time, braid to braid, braid to mono, mono to mono.
Super User Wayne P. Posted April 2, 2009 Super User Share Posted April 2, 2009 I use the same knot as when adding a leader- a uni-uni knot with six turns on both sides. No slipping, go glue, no problems. I also use the same knot for other type line connections

Tokyo Tony
Uni to uni, make seven turns on each end. Braid to flouro/mono, uni to uni with seven turns on the braid, four on the flouro/mono. Very strong, small diameter, and easy-to-tie knot.
