How hard did you look for their contact information???

You may want to send your info to Fish Harder Companies , it appears that either Tim Norman or the man himself Dan Vesuvio are the decsion makers from the five minutes it took me to look up the information.  If someone has some inside information that will be even  better.

Just don't send your cover letter and resume
"To whom it may concern"

Good Luck :)

Don't even waste your time man. Unfortunately, me and many others had a massive fallout with them. I don't want to post details, but many of the people on this forum or any other forum with TT in their signature are being low balled.

Pretty much anyone can get on board with them now, because they totally restructured their "pro-staff" plan, where as it used to be a legitimate program that rewarded both parties for hard work. Now it's like ESOX rods patch pirate program. So if you feel like being taken advantage of, send emails to Tim, Dan, and Tom Jr.

Good luck my friend.

It is pretty said how that stuff is happening more and more. My favorite "pro staff" programs are the ones you buy into. ;D

For example that Secret Weapon Lures, you have to be "familiar with" their products so you have to buy a "Prostaff starter kit" which is like $50 then you receive 30% off your purchases. lol Field staff get a whopping 15% off products. I had three friends of mine get pretty much sucked into this crap a few years ago and tried to get me on board. I pretty much called them dumb-***** and laughed.

It seems like most sponsorship deals are becoming nothing but small individual sales for the company.

Tin, i totally agree with you. Some of the prostaff deals are nothing but a chance to sell their product. If you wait for the spring sales you often receive a deeper discount on the merchandise that the original prostaff deal offers.

Yup

It is amazing what Pro-Staff "deals" include these days. For example, I know of one guy who works 5 to 6 shows around the region in the winter, does writting for a company, and recieves a 30% off baits that cost all of about $0.50 to make and sell for $14 each. It is a joke.

But hey, good for the companies taking advantage of this "everyone wants a sponsor" craze to show they are better than the next guy.

30-40% is the standard guide discount.  No sponsor needed.  I think its important to understand the difference between simply using stuff, doing a couple of talks, and actually fulfilling the angler's end of a sponsorship by selling the product.  That means converting someone you talk to into a retail customer.  Pretty much what I think Senko was talking about.  The "new" model is to overprice your stuff, offer a seemingly good discount to "pro staffers" making them post all over the internet forums.

Where would some of these companies be without internet forums?

I would agree, Tru Tungsten gets me pretty good deals for me too. I've been sponsored by them for 3 years and nothing has gone wrong.

I realize I may be sounding dumb but just starting doing local club tourney's and maybe a BFL tourney or two. What should I expect from them from them if they will sponsor me?
