Hey Guys, I just wanted to let you know I am now sponsored by Denali Rods and my goal is in 8 months have a reel, line, hook, and weight sponsors to cover all my gear. I have already have one tackle shop interested in Selling Denali Rods!

Congrats! Don't go emailing ever single company trying to find sponsorship though. Let them come to you. If that doesn't work, keep your emailing/contacting to a minimum and only contact products you believe in. If you have to start on Field Staff, then so be it. Prove yourself to that company and then you can move up to 'Pro Staff'.

Yep, My mom met the sales manager of Denali when she got into ICast through someone she knew, told the sales manager about me, and now I am sponsored by them..........

x2 not in anyway am I trying to say you can't fish, but your mom got your name out their and helped you land the sponsorship. Congrats on that though and i hope you find more sponsors in the future!Just goes to show it's all who you know... :

What part did you (pj) have in getting the sponsorship? What have you done?
Here is a question: What is your approach to getting a shop to carry XYZ products?

Your goal should be to promote the one you have to the best of your ability. The others, if any come calling, will fall in line at the right time.
