I have done a lot of research and reading on this topic in my spare time off the water fishing. With all the searching, reading and talking to people this is the marketing/advertising/promotion proposal letter that I have put together. I was hoping to find someone to take a look at what I have put together. I'm not looking to sign with Ranger Boats or Evinrude Outboards. I'm starting small, some local business around my home town.....

Proposal Letter:

Dear:Potential Business Partner

I would like to thank you for taking the time to read this letter, as it will potentially benefit me, but more importantly you. My name is Bryan Crawford and I am a competitive tournament b*** angler. You are probably thinking what does thathave to do with your company.

I am extending this invitation to you personally, to partner with me to promote and market your growing company in a new way. What do I mean in a new way? As a competitive tournament b*** angler, I compete in bass tournaments throughout the Southwest. I can provide you an entire new marketing angle. Advertising in this manner will put your company name and logo in the middle of other anglers, their families, spectators and the general public. If your company has not thought about this unique approach of business marketing, it may benefit your company to take a closer look.

Everyday companies are involving themselves with competitive tournament b*** angler marketing. Some of these companies have nothing to do with the fishing industry at all. Companies like Pedigree, Evan Williams, Toyota, Fuji Film, Geico and many more. I feel there is a better opportunity for companies that are not related to the fishing industry. With the rough economy you are forced to stretch you advertising dollars more and more. competitive tournament b*** angling can make a lot of sense because many companies have not been introduced to this type of marketing before. With the growing popularity of bass angling many companies are using tournament trails and its anglers, to help promote and market their products and services in a new way.

As a competitive tournament b*** angler, I have prepared some excellent ideas to help promote and market your company. If you are interested in exploring a new marketing approach, which I can offer, please feel free to contact me.

I am looking forward to becoming part of your Pro-Staff (Promotional Staff)

So if anyone has any thoughts about this it would be great to hear them.

If you would like to see more of the proposal please let me know and I can Email it to if you would like...

I see nobody has ever replied to this so I will add a little critique.

Anyone in a marketing position at a major company is not going to need a Bass fisherman to tell them about the tough economy.

They need you to tell them what you bring to the table that can benefit them by adding to their brand recognition and making them more money.

Tell them how many impressions you have a year, tell them how those impressions are generated and how that is going to help their bottom line.
