Bing Maps are honestly the best I've used. Let me know how you guys have done with them? Or how you use them? I think that I found what I hope to be the winning spot for my biggest tournament this year. Its amazingly detailed! I saw an island that slow tapered off, and "two islands" that is really one but partially sunken. Also a whole stretch of rock and gravel with scattered stumps and lay downs. For any tournament angler, LOSE GOOGLE MAPS, try Bing! There GREAT.

I'll have to disagree with you.  In certain geographic areas one excels over the other.  Incidentally, it's "they are GREAT" or "they're GREAT."

I don't favor one over the other.  Bing may be more up to date in one location, a few miles away Google may be better.  I probably use Google maps 95% of the time for a quick look see.

I like Google because I can easily measure distances and mark spots, however, I will reference Bing because it's usually more up to date down here.

They are both great, but not for what you mentioned. I can't honestly think that you were able to see gravel, stumps, and laydowns from aerial view - those are things that you are able to depict with your side imaging or other graphs.

I use Bing and Google maps to get an IDEA of where I will start to find fish, but I never know until I am on the water.

They are both good but I use them for scoping out hunting spots.  The best one I have found for fishing is on Angling-technologies.com.  Go to their interactive map zoom into your spot and on the bottom of the map there is a button that says map click it and it gives you the option to view the spot using Bing, Google or NIAP.  Click on NIAP, this one will actually let you see some of the channels and bottom structure of the water.  Its not so good for deep water structure, you get that if you get the paid service, but for shallow water (like the spot you are talking about coming off the island) it will give you some of the channels and bottom contour.

I just went on the website its not NIAP its NAIP Areials.  And when you click on the Maps button it gives you options and you want to open "Choose map base" then select NAIP Areials.
