Saturday was a different story, with the overnight low of 7, we started fishing with a grand temp of 16. Factor in the windchill of being on the river and it was -3. Coldest I have ever fished! We had another good day landing another 7 browns, with not as many rainbows as the day before, but still a good number.
Sunday we woke to about the same temperatures, but no wind, so this morning it was 17 when we started, and warmed right up to 28 by mid day. Today was considerably tougher, as we experienced a shad kill. Normally this would have been lights out, but the shad kill actually started around 8:30 last night, and as you could imagine, the fish were full by 8 am when we got out on the water. We caught 9 rainbows today with no browns, but overall it was a great trip!
And now for a couple pictures.....
Where we stayed

And our view.....

Now if those arent some of the prettiest freshwater fish, I don't know what are? (pumpkinseed maybe, but Ill take German Browns!!!)
