"MHX blanks are completely designed (including mandrels, graphitepattern selection, graphite fiber alignment, graphite pre-preg selection (resin& fibers), tested (field, failure, fatigue, deflection, action angle, power),quality controlled and packaged in the USA by the MHX staff. That staff represents over 50 people, their spouses and hundreds of family members in the USA that rely on the sales of the MHXblank line for financial survival.
The graphite prepreg for the MHX blanks is supplied from several sources depending on the blank. It can come from the USA but is mainly supplied by Toray Industries (Toray Industries of Japan is therecognized worldwide leader in the carbon fiber industry with offices in 19counties worldwide) and other sources overseas for glass, s-glass and solid glass.
Back by all those years of experience and many visits to rod blank manufacturers around the world, the staff of MHX has selected individual factories around the world to produce the MHX blanks. Factories are selected for their specialization,m odern equipment, tooling and staff experience. These factories provide pattern cutting, rolling, curing, sanding and finishing.
The "manufacturing" of MHX blanks is a global process which enliststhe talents of the best-of-the-best in rod blank design, material selection, equipment, fabrication and testing. This has madethe MHX line of truly a "World Class Rod Blank"."

I can say that I have built quite a few rods on MHX blanks in the last few years. Most have been for myself and a few good buddies. I have yet to try the high modulus blanks.
I can tell you this about the blanks I have used. Every one has been straight, light and have yet to have a problem with any of them.
I have used the following blanks.
--MB843 7' MH Fast Action I can't even tell you how many of these I have built on. Myself and buddies use these blanks 90% of the time. Awesome blank set up for casting, pretty sensative and powerful enough to pull a 6lbs smallie from the rocks in 25 feet of water a true Medium Heavy. Set up with exposed blank reel seat, Castaway seat is my favorite I build with 9-10 guides and tip top. This rod with 12-14# floro you can bounce a 1/4 Texas rigged rodent in the current (I fish the Menominee River in between the U.P. and Wisconsin) and you can feel every piece of gravel. Awesome blank.
-SJ843 7' M fast action I have built a few spinning rods and one casting rod using this blank. Supposed to be a medium powered blank. Every one has been slightly overpowered which is why I built myself a casting rod on one. Makes a nice true medium for casting.
-SJ842 7' ML fast action awesome spinning blank for light jigging 1/4 oz or lighter.
-MB873 7'3" MH fast action haven't built on this one but I've got one sitting here to build for myself. Feels just like the MB843 only 3" longer.
-CB905 7'6" -Blend I have one sitting in the corner waiting for me to build it for myself. Going to be for crank bait rod.
-SJ9000-2 7'6" ML 2 pc built this one for a buddy for tossing spawn for salmon. He lives this rod. Says it casts a mile and super sensative.
The next buy for myself is going to be a DS822-blend for drop shotting. 6'10" Mag-Lt with an x-fast action. Should make a sweet little drop shotting rod.
I haven't found one I don't like. They are my goto blanks and for the price they can't be beat. I hear the High Modulus are pretty good. I haven't tried for myself though.
Good luck,
Mike

i give em credit for there respose, i honestly though they were going to censor that post and not anser my question.. granted they probally want to find a reason to ban me now LOL
i drew that out of them, i kinda already new the anser ill be honest here and it always drove me nuts they hype up being the manufature of the blanks and that there better than so call most usa blanks for less.. and make it to be more than it is but i guese i cant expect any less out of a car salesman.
well first off of course there going to cost less then USA blank LOL DAH
there not a bad blank at all, in fact i build on allot of the overseas blanks the prices and quality. granted i dont build any mhxs not because there bad there good blanks i just dont like there advertisement.. granted most the blanks i build are out of that same manufacture, if its made over there just assume its the same place lets face it you dont need anyone to tell you that right its basically commen sence LOL
they censord my last post on there and locked the topic, more or less i said to please not tell me maybe some are made in the usa, i was like what when i saw that... i really dont like being sold on a maybe, usa made blanks is the good stuff hands down the best i feel and worth every penny.....maybe its just a tag and i go into a tunnel but heck if im going to spend some coin on any blank i want usa on it.
ill agree they desighned them etc etc etc etc with what they said and sure they must have created a few jobs in the usa.... but theres a big differance between that and USA MADE and they seem to act as if there one in the same and that grinds my gears.

them being made in the same exact place well that just prefeace in name or etc... personally other than speedy shipping and nice packages and fancy website and catalogs thats about all they have going for them in the end i see no deals or discounts anywhere there so id rather buy from almost any other of the rod building supplyers out there.. so as for wanting to build mhx, i think ill pass on that unless it becomes not exclusive to them then i might take a second look. like i said i dont think there crap for blanks never said that i just dont see as better for less so ill pass there are allot of good blanks out there just have to pick the right one for what your building.

Each MHX Hi-mod blank is supposed to come with a nice cloth bag. I ordered a blank back in mid Feb. and received it without the bag. I email them and they tell me the bags are on back order. No problem. Yesterday I check my credit card online and see they recently sent the bag and charged me $9 shipping for a "free" bag. It's not like a legitimate back order but an item that was supposed be included. I don't want to hear the bag is free because it's actually built into the price of the blank.
I have emailed them but will probably not get a response till tomorrow.

The Hi-mod blanks are some really well made blanks but I recently had a dumb issue with Mudhole(distributor)

Yes, Sir that would irritate me too! It will be interesting to see what they do with this.
