So me and my family are property managers down in the kissimmee/davenport area of florida and one of the houses we manage has a very nice small lake behind it with a lot of lily pads as seen in the pictures behind me. I just went to Dick's on saturday to buy a live target frog because i really love frog fishing and wanted to try it out so headed out there this morning and had quite a few casts, letting it come of the lily pads and then sit in the open water but no luck. Couple of strikes but no hook sets. So i moved over to where there were a lot more lily pads and not as much open water and I was reeling in my last cast as I had to go (I was not even skipping in) and all i heard and saw was a huge splash and i managed to set the hook. I then fought with the lily pads to reel in the fish and got it to shore and could not believe i just caught my PB bass! It weighed in at 4.1/4.2lbs and measured 23". I am not sure if thats big in the overall scheme of things but it was big for me :D

Yeh, it took a second for it to revive and I was pretty much in the muddy water with it holding it but it swam off just fine :)

That is a sweet looking pond. I would bet the farm that there is a bass twice that size in there. Enjoy getting him!
