  2. I think they can be if fishing clear water. I fish mainly grass and pads so I may get away with it though. I did find going to heavy on my worm rod line decreased my bites. I figure that was either bc the bass could see it or the action of the lure was killed by such heavy line. I've never needed a leader on my spinning rod with 10-15# braided line with largemouths.
  3. one of the shimano flipping sticks is around that price point (i think clarus). It is worth a feel
  4. daiwa procyon is a solid rod for the $$
  5. Thanks for the input, much appreciated
  6. What's your personal preference for turkey?
  7. Going to try to get some turkey with the bow this spring. Was wondering your preference on broadheads when turkey hunting? I probably wouldn't go the route of the huge bladed guillotine style but open to fixed and typical expandables. Let me know what y'all think!
  8. I've had a PSE stinger 3G for a couple years now. I've updated some of the parts to my personal preference but the bow is still going strong, no issues or complaints. It kills things. (Of course at that price point the stock parts aren't great but it allowed me to upgrade parts on my schedule while still using the bow)
  9. I sure hope that's a fake
  10. worms 12# yo zuri hybrid jigs 3/8 and 1/2 oz like you listed I throw 20# flouro
  11. citica e or curado g they are solid do everything reels. I cast weightless worms on my citica e and frogs on a separate citica e. Both situations they perform. I like my abu winch a lot. It is super smooth but doesn't cast as nicely as my shimanos. Especially when weightless.
  12. Green power pro for me Tuf Line makes braid similar to power pro and is cheaper. I haven't tried the high vis stuff. I usually throw braid on my frog rod so I'm not line watching so much.
  13. I use the VMC short shank round bend trebles. I find them to be sharp, durable, and a fraction of the price as most the other big name brands. The other ones are awesome to but I can't justify spending too much money replacing hooks
  14. I really really like using the Strike King floating finesse worms. I forget their exact name but they are about 4-5" long, shaped like a finesse worm and made out of the elaztech rubber so it floats. I nose hook them.
