Florida WMA
bro don't say that. i fished lox yesterday and there were 5 truck/trailers of airboats that spray. USUALLY, they do it righ at lox. you're right though, they are killing lake O. istokpoga still hasn't recovered. the best thing we can do is vote. find candidate in your district who is pro environment. its nuts. they are pumping water back into lox. doesn't make sense.

Stick Marsh in August
change your plans and go to either keanansville or garcia. i like garcia because it is paved lol. i have been to both garcia and kville 6 times this month. giants in both. if you're looking for a 10+ go to kville, if you want to catch a 30-35 pound bag go to garcia. hollow body frogs, spooks, prop baits. flip the hard lines with hyacinth. last trip to garcia we had an 8.4 and three sevens with a mess of 3-5 pounders. insane. the last trip at kville biggest fish was 9.5. only caught about 20 fish between 2-4 pounds. however, i lost a friggin giant at the boat. high sticked it and my rod broke and i watched this 10+ swim away slowly. kville has a 14 mile dirt road that will take a good 2 hours cleaning off the boat and truck. the big fish in that place make it worth while. just gotta time the bite right and you'll smashem. good luck

Fishing the everglades with all this extra water.. help!
use it to your advantage and target bridges and moving water. once you locate them and figure out how they're set up, it should produce a fun session.

South Florida windy weekend
had 18.64 and finished third. caught over 100 fish. if you want to catch some chunks, go to the big rest area and head west. throw jerkbailts and big worms and you'll have a blast!

Hillsboro Canal
Villages of Hillsboro Park – Hillsboro Canal – Freshwater 4111 N.W. 6th Street, Hillsborough Canal, west of Powerline Rd., Deerfield Beach 954-426-6898 Fee: No charge Hours: Dawn to dusk (only for small boats) 1 single ramp 14 parking spaces my rule of thumb is if the water is moving, go somewhere else. if its not, throw swim jigs by every clump of pads you see. good luck

A little help, taking a trip to Lake Okeechobee
that time of year J&S should be on fire. lock through and and start fishing the heads on the other side of the lock. white spinner baits with gold blades work really well. frogs, spooks, swim baits will all catch fish. like mike said, f bring a flipping stick and flip those heads. depending on the size boat you get and the weather you get, you can head over to the west side of the lake and fish the grass in kings bar. make sure you keep your eye on the weather. lake O can get snotty quick. good luck

South Florida Bass since Irma
holiday park and most of the glades is fishing super tough with the high water levels. loxahatchee is hot right now. the lake is hit or miss with one day smashing them and the next struggling. had 21 pounds saturday for the bass busters tourney and the next day had 16 in the same area. how'd you do at lox? i smashed them last wednesday night.

Irma area

Everglades?
where you are fishing secondchance, those fish aren't there yet. instead of going north, go south to holiday park. take the l67 the south canal, to the cut #4 and start fishing south to five. stay on the flats side. the two baits that have been working for me are the spook and the snake. wherever you see a washout, hit it hard. stay and make extra casts at everyone of them. i don't mind giving up this info now, because the king series is over and the classic has a 1/5 chance of being there. they are not smashing the spook, they are more or less sucking it in. at first you'll think its an oscar, but when they pull you'll know its not. the better bite is during the week because the weekend pressure is brutal. don't be afraid to throw a swim jig in the pads as well. the pad bite will be next, just don't know where.
