Day 1 of Elite Series Bass Fishing Event on Lake Amistad Canceled

DEL RIO, Texas - Due to unsafe weather conditions and in the best interest of all concerned, BASS announced the first day of tournament action on Lake Amistad, scheduled for Thursday, April 10, has been canceled. The tournament will begin Friday, April 11 and conclude Sunday, April 13 as scheduled.
The full field of 109 anglers will fish Friday and Saturday, with the top 12 qualifying for the final day of action Sunday. The final 12 anglers will compete for a $100,000 top prize. The co-angler competition will end Saturday with the champion of that division receiving the $25,000 top prize.
The Amistad tournament is the fourth of 11 events on the Bassmaster Elite Series circuit. Elite anglers are building points in the Bassmaster Angler of the Year standings, which boasts a $250,000 top prize and is the main qualifying avenue for the Bassmaster Classic.
