Alton Jones Disqualified from Bass Tournament
MANNING, S.C. - Bassmaster Elite Series angler Alton Jones has been disqualified from the series' Santee Cooper Showdown for violating rules 3.2 and 12, BASS announced Friday.
Jones, of Waco, Texas, was disqualified because he was given assistance in operating his boat while he located fish during the tournament's official practice period. Bass Fishing pro Kevin Vandam was disqualified the previous day for the same reasons.
