BASS Eliminates Bassmaster Women's Trail
Jan. 4, 2010 - Without warning, BASS abruptly eliminated the Women's Bassmaster Tour from the Bassmaster Tournament Trail today, citing declining participation as the cause. However the tour had actually been gaining momentum, so the true reason remains a mystery.
WBT anglers who have already registered for 2010 WBT events will be provided a full refund, and interested WBT anglers will be given opportunities to register for other BASS events. Many women, who have already signed sponsorship deals for the upcoming season, were all caught off-guard with the announcement.
