Luis Nash of Brazil with a 6lb Blue Peacock Bass caught in Pereira Barreto-SP.
The Peacock Bass is perhaps the most exciting freshwater gamefish in the world. As a predator, it's by nature intelligent and aggressive, defending its territory and the fingerlings school. It's so powerful that it frequently straightens hooks, opens snaps and breaks lines. Every strike is like an explosion. Most of the time the fish almost jump after they are hooked, and after a head-shaking leap or two, they make an incredible run. The fighting ability of the peacock bass puts them at the top of the class.
