Cody Pierce (age 14) kissed and released unharmed this 17.05 lb world record fish. He caught it in Lake Murray, California on a Texas rigged Western Plastics 4-inch straight tail worm rigged on an Owner American Rig-N-Hook #2. He was using a 6-foot Shimano Catana Graphite rod with a Shimano Bantam Crestfire CR200B spooled with Berkley Trilene 10lb. test.... that's right, 10lb test! This is Cody's 21st fish over 10 pounds!
