  1. Past hour
  2. No, that's just proof lefties are oppressed people. We never consider them. Lol
  3. I carry 200+ dollar setups in my yak...same stuff gets used while walking the banks.
  4. That looks very very painful, I’ll pass.
  5. Hello and Welcome to Bass Resources ~ No that's an interesting first post. Tell you what Doc, allow me to utilize that particular method of hook extraction on YOU. With a barbed hook deep into say your thumb or perhaps the palm of your hand - You will be screaming bloody murder ! No way. A-Jay
  6. I'm a lefty, but I fish as if I'm right handed... Does that mean I'm on a list now?
  7. They don’t care at all. It’s the person who cares.
  8. Roller, crane, and barrel swivels spin on each end so there any difference on which end you use. Ball bearing swivels are different as they only spin on one end but they spin so free that most anglers never take notice. When your blade is on the free end of the swivel it will spin even better and when using a Worth or Sampo swivel it will be ridiculous at how slow you can reel the bait the keep the blade spinning.
  9. Right handed people who don't use a left handed baitcaster are a danger to national security.
  10. See ya'll in January. We'll kill this zombie then (again)....
  11. The mathematical layout of this joke/riddle is meant to mislead. No dollar is ever missing. 21 - 5 = 16 paid for the room. The maid has 2 dollars and each guy received a dollar back, so 16 paid, plus 2 the maid took, plus one dollar for each of the three guys to receive in return equals $21. (16 + 2 + 3 = 21) The room cost $16 dollars (see above) so the men paid 5.33 each for the room (16 divided by 3). The men also paid the 2 dollars that the maid took, so dividing the 2 dollars among 3 guys is .67 cents each added to what they paid, or 6 dollars each ($18). Then each received a dollar back for a total of 3 dollars received back. $18 + 3$ is $21 which accounts for all of the money.
  12. Gotta get consent, which may be revoked at any time and can't be given while impaired or incapacitated, and may not be coerced. Much easier the second time around if you don't fish those 50 and 70 sized reels...
  13. Scheels has a sale on Shimano SLX Spinning Rods
  14. Ouch. That method looks slow and painful. Might work on a pig's foot, but I will not be trying it. Best way, if possible, is to push hook through until barb clears skin. Cut off behind barb and ease hook back out. If the hook can't push through, then use a similar method to the video, without the line in the eyelet. Instead push the eyelet against the skin and give the line a quick tug. Only pull the barbed hook out if you are sure it is clear of tendons. You can cause a lot more damage, by pulling it out. If unsure go to the doctor.
  15. Today
  16. Sometime in the early 1980s, I went to a sport show in Kansas City. Larry Nixon gave a seminar on structure fishing. At the end of his seminar, he held up a plastic worm and said" learn this". I listened. It's very hard to beat a Texas rig worm through most of the fishing season for me. I've been addicted to a light"tap" for a long time now.
  17. JFrancho 3 guys rent a motel room for $21, each pays $7 There was a problem with the room so the manager gives the maid $5 to give back to the 3 guys. Maid figures five dollars is going to be hard for them split, so she pockets $2 and gives them back $3 Since each got back a dollar, that made them only pay $6 each for the room. Well, 3 x $6 = $18 they paid for the room, and the maid pocketed $2. $18 + $2 = $20, where did the other dollar go. They paid $7 each for $21 Each go back $1 so that made the pay $6 each for $18 The maid pocketed $2 so that's only $20
  18. i'm talking about upgrading like 5-6 rods not 1
  19. Agreed. A little surprised they don't, to be honest. Found a guy on Ebay who makes his own weedless Ned jigs. I may order a pack (10) in 1/16th from him.
  20. BPS will not cover it. 60 days with Bass Pro. 1 year warranty for all BPS brand. I have already been on St Croix web site. Looks like I just have to pay shipping. I can live with that. Thanks guys I am going to work on my technique for landing fish, little more line little less bend in the blank. Oh I almost forgot keep a sharp eye out for snapping turtles.
  21. I had a similar situation many years ago too. I was using a blk/blue Culprit. My partner that day was throwing shallow cranks, but not doing well. He spent more time picking weeds off his bait than anything else. He got all ticked off at me, but was bullheaded and wouldn't change baits. I took 2nd place, and afterwards I overheard him telling another guy how I was all luck with a plastic worm. All luck? No. I was fishing the right bait, that's all. I fished very few club tournaments after that. Too many hot heads and sore losers. The deadly Texas rig struck again.
  22. How is the distance with the Daiwa is it substantial less or not ?
  23. I just saw a TV program where Al Lindner, I think it was, talked about waters that should have trophy smb. He said big water, lakes with good spawning areas, lots of deep water minnow forage like tullabees, smelt, etc, with mulitple "basins."
  24. Stick with daiwa and Shimano. If you intend to throw lighter baits the Daiwa will be better. If you know you won’t go under 3/8 oz then the Curado will be best.
