  2. I would argue they've already accomplished half of what they set out to do. Regardless of any of our opinions... It has become a discussion here. Therefore their name is out there more.
  3. Some are probably in shallow water structure and the rest on deeper points, ledges, road beds, etc
  4. I have a barely used abu black max and an even less used silver max. $40 shipped for both. Not sure exactly how high end you're looking for.
  5. Do y’all have any comments on which is less to deal with as far as knotting up or digging into the spook? Would 40 lb be easier to deal with than 65 lb
  6. BREAKING: BELTON, TEXAS — An empty kayak on Lake Belton has led to a search for a missing man, Morgan’s Point Resort Fire Chief Taran Vaszozc-Williams told the Telegram. Multiple agencies are searching for the man, but his name hasn’t been released yet. The man is in his 50s and has grayish-white hair and a goatee, Vaszozc-Williams said. The search is being concentrated near Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Area and also at Frank’s Marina near the Belton Dam. I hope he is found safe. Either way, I thought it would be good time for a reminder.

  8. I have a pair of Costa Fantail sunglasses and really like them except the lenses fog up when I’m hot/perspire. I see on their web site that other models like Tuna Alley and White Tip have ventilated holes in the frame - anyone know if these actually work to reduce/eliminate fogging up?
  9. Without being there it hard to say defiantly but they could be post spawn. But again it's hard to without more information from you like where in the United States ya at?
  10. Roughly half as long as my ADD lets me. I’ve been trying really hard lately to slow down while fishing. I even power fish Ned rigs.
  11. If anyone has a Carrot Stix E21 Drop Shottin CLTX721MH-XF-DSS Spinning Rod I will buy it. Just found one that was broke in shipping and am looking hard for one. This is an older model.
  12. This is between my house & my neighbor, I set 1 gallon buckets beyond each opening, & pitching into them from various distances & angles.
  13. I agree, but I feel the brand is ripping off kids who don't have much money to spend to begin with.
  14. Totally depends on the amount of access to the bank, some ponds have well manicured shorelines, some places have tree along the shoreline, & some shorelines are over grown.
  15. Yeah, bobber stop -> 10mm round bead -> 10mm tri-bead -> hook. The big round bead helps deflect stems of spatterdock/grass. Point your rod tip at the lure, and reel in straight.
  16. Uhhh! Sometimes we don't 😞 Number 1 key for me anyway is to understand what the predominate prey species in my bodies of water are & how those species relate to structure with each passing season...morning, noon, and night.
  17. We get a lot of tornados here’s in MS. What makes ours dangerous is you can’t see them. Between the rolling hills and pines you typically hear it before you see it. Which is usually too late. I’ve been lucky to avoid a few by hauling butt after the sky immediately turned orange and got still. When it goes completely still and the birds are all gone you know to get the heck out of there
  18. Good luck with the hellgrammite fly. It should be a killer.
  19. A lot of my strikes come from buzzing a toad over some grass then pausing it and letting it float down an opening in the grass. Even if the bite isn’t immediate, I’ll let it sink for a few seconds. Those legs really flutter all by em selves, and seems to drive the fish nuts. The keitech toads are basically just really fat rage craws with tiny arms 😂.
  20. I don't have a problem with standing back per se, but my bank fishing is usually in cover heavy enough to make it impractical. But I don't like the idea of flopping the fish up onto the bank when landing it, and I seem to see that a lot.
  21. I enjoy mine, throw 1-4oz swimbaits on the 8' HF.
  22. Today
  23. Either 832 or power pro. Prefer 832, seems to work a little better for me. But if PP’s on sale, or 832 is sold out, I’ve got no issues filing up with PP
  24. I really don't feel bad for you guys My latest boat expense, A house with a garage so I don't have to pay to store my boat over the winter.
  25. Whether you bed fish or not is up to everyone to decide for themselves. I like being on the water during the spawn just to see how many beds/fish there are. Seeing hundreds of beds with fish on them really kind of shows how healthy a lake is. And yes, if I see a bigger than normal bass, I'll catch it, snap a pic, and let it go.
