  1. Past hour
  2. I have a 4.3 to 1 that ive never really found a great application for. Would you guys use that for deep cranking as well?
  3. I really only need three while I’m out but through an addiction I have many patterns of the Rat-L-Traps. Chrome w/ black back Chrome w/ blue back Gold w/ black back I didn’t get them delivered yet but did order some of the Strike King Red Eyed shads from Cabela’s. I’ve read a lot about them on here. Seem to be the brand of choice here. I ordered some of the more productive patterns to compare to Lewis Brand. Price was right and deal was real. Worth the comparison.
  4. My two most productive colors for a Rattle Trap are chartreuse and chrome.
  5. Any chance you still have this?
  6. Dealers box have 3/ea, correct? Could you send pictures?
  7. I have a dealers box of each of the following colors: BRBN-Brown Bone CPS-Chartreuse Purple Shiner CSD- Chartreuse Shad GSD-Green Shad OPSD- Original Pearl Shad CTL- Chartreuse lime
  8. This is why I only fish coves that are feed by a creek.
  9. You must have seen the back drop picture in my profile 😎... How many and which color dt6s are you thinking?
  10. Or keep it for deep divers in a future setup
  11. I've done some of the butt ends on rods where the cork is different with no issues. I had an HMG with the cork you are referring to and I never had any issues with that rod pitting just a little discoloration. Could always try a small area but I bet you would be fine.
  12. I own a jar, I was wondering about EVA/cork hybrid (like HMG's handle)?
  13. Hey guys, curious if anyone has ever fished this rod before from the 'black' reaction series. Looks like it may have been marketed as a shallow/ mid depth cranking rod. Curious if anyone is familiar with it?
  14. I can c-rig a hard bottom,(to borrow a word from AOC) like, forever. I just am convinced the sound of that 1oz weight draggin' across the bottom will call'em from across the lake! Just have to wait for'em to show up. Throw a c-rig where you think you see a hard spot. Won't take but seconds until you know for sure. I was there for 4 days and had '0' electronics on my boat. I'd get kinna lined up on some of the spots I c-rig and kept slingin' and moving until I felt the bottom I was looking for. Usually didn't take too long.
  15. It does depend on the body of water too . Some will rise quickly and turn muddy . Others hardly change at all .
  16. Xcalibur/Booyah - Tiger Craw, Rayburn red, Chrome black back, Chrome blue back
  17. Great post. I do that with fishing slow soft plastics on spinning gear. Most of my BC fishing is reactionary strike fishing. Good post.
  18. What are Your favorite colors of Trap’s throughout the Yr starting right now.
  19. Great post, @Brad Reid. As usual, data would improve the quality of the conversation, if not the entertainment value. I'm not yet convinced that power is a huge advantage over pedal.. yet. I do suspect that both are a general advantage over paddle. I expect power to become more of a factor before long, however. No reason to think speed and battery life aren't going to advance quickly... heck, I saw someone on Facebook working on putting a jetski engine in a kayak...lol. I bet we see 15mph Torqueedo yaks in next year, if they're not there already.
  20. Same. Have had braid slice my skin open on hooksets. I get a little too excited at times and forget to move my index finger out of the way first lol.
  21. I agree with Scott. I won’t fish the river under fast treacherous conditions. I’ll switch gears and lake fish. But when levels are up and stained I prefer to fish shoreline cover. They seem to relate to wood cover. Dark crankbaits and Rat-L-Traps seem to have always work will. Black, olive and purple cranks.
  22. I recently started using U40 on all cork rods and its an awesome product. Use a super light coat. Changes the feel slightly but barely noticeable. I've applied to 10+ rods so far. Jar goes a long way.
  23. Today
  24. You have to pay your dues in flesh.
