  2. As the title suggests, I'm interested in getting a Pop Max in the GG Bass color. I got a deal on White Python and Black Orochi so i would like to find an excellent condition GG Bass for no more than $15. Let me know if you have one. Thanks!
  3. Depending where you fish, what bass species can require different lures and presentations. Add multi species with each specie requiring a different lures and presentations it doesn't take many years to be overwhelmed with tackle choices and presentation techniques to use on any given day. Bass, largemouth, Smallmouth and spotted make the majority bass species we try to catch, each can require specific lures and presentations. You can make it as complicated or as simple as you choose and still catch fish. It really comes down to the individual. If you are a bass angler you can catch bass on a plastic worm anywhere. 1 outfit, bag of weights, hooks and plastic worms and go fishing, it's that simple. Tom
  4. I use the original bronze 2/0 Spider Slider hooks with the Zman worms. The pro Spider Slider has the heavier 3/0 round bend which would probably be fine with a Zoom Finesse worm. I use the Zoom worms a lot on shaky heads without issue.
  5. I realize you're asking about spinning rig. But last week I was prepping for a creek fishing trip and pulled out a 5'6" casting rod and mounted a Shimano ALX baitcaster on it. It was so easy to fish I've taken it twice since then. I wouldn't go longer than 6'. The creek I fished was 15' to 50' in width but my combo allowed easy 25 yards cast with an 1/8 oz spinnerbait so it was a perfect fit.
  6. BPS World Wide Sportsman convertible fishing pants.
  7. price drop and no more PayPal fee
  8. That's just awful. I've got feelings for my Stradics ci4+'s that I can't fully explain.
  9. casts right, reels left with both casting and spinning outfits. KISS.
  10. Unfortunately the cold front in NJ brought some heavy damage with it.
  11. All I know is, no matter if you bring the entire garage plus the kitchen sink, if you aren't catching fish you will wish you had something else.
  12. Needing to thin the herd and looking to sell these two rods, price includes shipping in a hard rod tube. Payment via paypal fam/friends or add 4%. If you have any questions or want them shoot me a message. Interested in both? Then lets make a deal Champion 683C: Used but good condition, few minor scratches but nothing serious, cork sealed with U40. $155 Sierra 766: Like new condition, cork sealed with U40. $125

  14. Quick question about those spider slider heads. Do you use the 3/0 versions (classic) on your finesse wormZ? I paired a Zoom finesse worm with a 2/0 spider slider (pro) and the gap seemed too small
  15. No problem with winds knots yet. I've fished with it 10 to 12 trips, usually 6 to 9 hours a trip. I do occasionally apply KVD line conditioner and always after spooling it. Loose line is the popular cause of wind knots but I believe anytime I've had problems with them it was due to line twist. I use Spro power swivels when fishing spoons to prevent line twist. The 2500 is definitely going to be less problematic with it larger spool in my opinion. If I planned on casting 65 to 75 yards I'd choose the 2500 over a 1000 reel everyday. A 1000 holds 110 yards of #6 while the 2500 holds 200 yards of #6. My average cast with the 1000 is most likely 25 yards and under. Verify your line roller is rotating smoothly. Closing reel manually? Not everybody does.
  16. Spinning reel...LH only. Baitcast reel....either hand.
  17. Truly a man of good taste. 😜 Mike
  18. I wish they would. I go through crappie tubes something fierce when the bite is on. Would love to have some made of Elaztech so they wouldn’t tear up so quickly. I do catch a lot of bass in the spring in ponds on crappie tubes, though
  19. It really doesn’t matter how you approach it. Bring as much crap as you want (rods, reels, baits) or just an outfit or two and a handful of baits. There are guys that catch plenty with both approaches. From the bank, I go as simple and as light as possible. From a boat, I’ll bring more stuff for what I expect the conditions to be and live with it. Besides, my boat isn’t close to being big enough to hold all the tackle I own - barely all fits in the garage as it is 😂
  20. Yeah I'm glad this heat wave is over, I live in Jersey and it' been brutal over the weekend, hopefully gonna get some fishin in after work this evening, good luck man!
  21. Zoom and Berkley Powergrubs are my favorite brands. My top 3 colors are: pumpkinseed, white, and chartreuse honorable mention: Kalin’s Ron’s Craw, which is dynamite here in AZ
  22. I'm moving from a Hobie PA14 to an Old Town Predator PDL 2020 off word of mouth and reports like the one @CountryboyinDC just posted. Ain't paying no tariff fees, Hobie. Thanks, though.
  23. MVP of topwaters for me is a Lucky Craft Sammy that has a green back, but a clear belly.
