  1. Past hour
  2. A bottom contact rod is about as far off from a crankbait rod as you can be. Why they decided to name the new crankbait rod the same name as the old bottom contact rod, I'll never understand.
  3. Water everywhere is dirty and pads and grass showing up. Whats your go to lures and how fish this dirty water
  4. I use 1/10 and 1/20 heads on casting gear. I use 3 inches of a Huka Stick over a TRD though but they basically weigh the same. I sometimes fish the long shank 1/10 head and a full Hula Stick. I use the rod in back for 90% of my Neds with 1/10 oz heads. It's a Daiwa Pixy with 20# Suffix high vis braid on a Majorcraft Volkey 68L BFS.
  5. Koz

    New pb

Coated nicely - just stick him in the deep fryer!
  6. First is the bass I caught Thursday, other is one earlier in the year. Roughly the same length but one is fatter and has a rounder shape. I'm guessing one is Male and the other is female?
  7. Similar reels but different Tatula platforms. The Fuego CT is considerably smaller than the older 100. Mechanically they are are the same. The CT reels are a narrow frame version of the old 100 reels to alleviate the complaints about the old reels being too wide.
  8. Dang! What did you cast that with, a tree?
  9. Price reduced to $165 shipped and insured. This reel was serviced and completely gone through and only fished once or twice since. It is super smooth and in very good shape for a TDZ variant.
  10. You could be sneaky about it and photograph each fish. Your phone will mark the location where each photo was taken.
  11. Megabass Evoluzion F1 1/2 X63 Ti Espada. It's a 6'3" "slow" or moderate action light powered casting rod.
  12. Picked this up the other day been really catching them with it. Nothing big but sure having fun.
  13. Strike King's swimm'n caffeine shad's are my go to in KVD magic color.
  14. Feel the same way. Got a 50 on our 16ft. Lund. Maxes out at 30 mph, plenty fast for us.
  15. Today
  16. 9yr old Zombie thread comes back to life from a disgruntled dock owner🤣🤣 FWIW Barbi I never fish a dock with homeowner on it😉
  17. I imagine you may be in for a surprise from your club soon 🤣🤣
  18. I'm really planning on sticking to 168 s-wavers and others in that 2oz and under range. If/when I decide to go bigger I'll get a swimbait rod. Separate question but related. Can I get away with my curado k throwing s-wavers? (More of a line capacity issue I guess)
  19. I tend to agree with both of you. Thinking back, most of the members had some idea of other members favorite water. I remember asking a guy on a two day club tournament, who I fished with on the first day, if I could could suggest that spot to my second day boater. He said OK, just let him have a crack at it first. I thought that was cool and it avoided friction.
  20. I don't see an issue - I use the GPS/Google Map function in my phone to locate catches. Over time, you can build up a profile of 'this time of year, the bass are here'. This can do nothing but help your fishing and you don't have to share them.
  21. Bass anglers can be a secretive bunch thinking "their" honey hole belongs to them. In reality there are very few secrets in bass fishing or locations that aren't known. If your boater doesn't give you access to the console unit to watch then use your IPhone or other hand held GPS to mark way points. Some anglers don't share the time of day but those are the same anglers who want to know everything everyone else is doing. Tom
  22. someone bought whole lot sorry guys
  23. That's one of my favorites too...but now I gotta ask...4, almost 5 months after your post, and with Memorial Day sales going on right now, how much gear do you have now?! 👍
  24. Would like your thoughts on the ethics of a back seater using a handheld GPS to help log catches. Years ago when I fished with a local club I would try to figure out where we were on the water when I was catching fish, then when I got home I would try to find those spots on a lake map and mark it. I would also fill out a paper log and keep them in a binder. I was never sure if the spot on the map was really accurate. Some of those lakes were very large and I didn't fish them all that often. So I had the idea of getting a GPS and marking my catches with a waypoint. I posed this idea to members of my club and also online and the majority of the answers were in the negative. The main reason being that they worked too hard to find these spots and didn't want them given up, which on the whole I tend to agree with. I couldn't get them to understand that I was going to be logging catches and not stealing their spots. Personally I would never give up a spot without asking the person first. any thoughts would be appreciated.
