  3. 18 Sept 2019 ~ Still Grinding Them Out, One at a time. Nothing wrong with having this be the best part of my day. A-Jay
  4. I have a question. Under my key switch there is a knob that you can turn. I was told that it is to adjust the air/fuel mixture. Is this true and if so does anyone have any tips on how to adjust it? thinks
  5. Yes. I don't use any fluoro either. Lately, I don't use any leader with braid.
  6. Man, ain't that the truth? Very frustrating to lay out a perfect cast only to have a bait floundering on the surface. Definitely a bigger problem when fishing into the wind.
  7. No. It is for a straight fall. Baitcast reel will cast a 5" Senko with no problem, but it is harder to get the straight fall. Pull line out, but watch out you don't give yourself an overrun if you want to use a baitcast reel.
  8. Vexus, Xpress, Gator Trax and a few others offer it as an option now.
  9. I choose 7' but I only use 2 rods that length, both crank bait rods, 6 are 6' 10" , 2 are 6'8", 1 is 7'5" , 1 is 7'10" and 3 are 8'. 6'10" wasn't a choice so I went up to 7'. I went with MH because that represents the majority or 6 of my rods and a good compromise for a 7' rod. Straight shank hook was easy because that is what I prefer in worm and jig hooks to go along with the 7' MH rod. Tom
  10. I have the Jonny boats bass 100 with motor pod, check it out. My favorite boat to date for fishing smaller lakes like I do. Just throw it on back of truck and go fishing.
  11. I've never seen Yo Zuri in a walmart here in Indiana but did see it in walmarts in Florida. It seems to be a location thing on what they perceive will sell, like Suffix lines I use to see them in my local walmart but no longer. I no longer use Yo Zuri, I use the Sunline Defier lines and they too are hard to find I just order from Tackle Warehouse when they have holiday sales or off of Amazon.
  12. Today
  13. where was this? some toads on that leaderboard
  14. I wish you luck, Harold. When you find some, buy all you can. Seems that lots of JDM soft plastics are like that....(I suppose there's lots that come and go quickly here, too) If it isn't Reins, Keitech or Jackall, I have little confidence I'll find it again soon
  15. The reasons live bait wasn't allowed for money derbies that evolved into bass tournaments was cheating and a precieved lower skill set using live bait. By eliminating the use of live bait it promotes a more competitive event. Bill Murphy author of In Pursuit of Gaint Bass dedicates chapters to live bait fishing and lure fishing, both require skills to do effectively. Some bass are not catchable using artificial lures and may require specialized live bait presentations to catch these bass. When I was fishing the San Deigo city lakes in the 60's live bait was thought to be the only method to catch big Florida strain LMB and everyone in the Picses bass club fished live bait when I was a member. Bill Murphy and most top trophy bass anglers in California were live bait anglers at one time or another. I stopped using live bait to target big bass in the early 70's because I felt it was unsporting to use live bait during the spawn cycle. Looking back restricting myself to artifical lures only reduced my chances at catching a world record bass. Tom
  16. Does anyone know where "Cypress Bayou" is on Rodman Reservoir in Florida? I see several references to it but not on any map. ….Thanks
  17. Have you checked to make sure that in the ethernet menu the humminbirds are communicating with each other? That you selected which unit you want to pull data from?
  18. Is the spinning rod due to the light lure? I dont really use a spinning rod much unless Im in salt or brackish waters.
  19. Good to know. The next one is probably on Black Friday when they’ll be out of stock.
  20. Shimano Expride was discounted on Labor day sale at TW. 7'2mh feels good in hand.
  21. Il try. Its gonna be a challenge lol
  22. I paddled for four years and said the same stuff you did above. In January I bought a Hobie Compass....and now, for the life of me I have to admit that I had no clue what the heck I was talking about back then. I still fish shallow and weedy ponds and bays....no less than I did before. But there is no way I'd go back to just paddling. The amount of time spent actually fishing jumped at least 50%....no exaggeration. I'm not familiar with that kayak....last I looked at Bonafides, they only had two...I think 107 and 117. If that 123 is easily adaptable to a torqueedo, then I'd consider it. Even if you don't get pedals now, I highly recommend something ready made to drop them in....or nearly trolling motor ready.
  23. I have it in my Hobie. It's pretty awesome. Much more comfortable than bass boat carpet.
  24. I may get some of these they look cool. Favorite color? Joe
