the 3 main lakes closest to me.....Lake Benson, Lake Wheeler, and Lake Johnson... you CAN"T FISH ON THE BANK! ok. had to let out my frustration. now u can unload ur boat for free at lake wheeler. lake johnson and Lake benson are rent boats only (no gas motors). either way, its unamerican to not allow to fish the bank. its so friggin sad. I can't believe it. however, they let anyone keep any size fish they want. I seen an old lady keep 2 or 3 fish no bigger than my MIDDLE FINGER. *sigh* I dont understand they should allow bank fishing. and not allow such small fish to be kept. its just not right. or at least stock it if that is the case.... anyways. since LBH showed his sarcasm. I had to show my frustration. cause I dont get it either, LBH! lol

I was usin a super fluke yesterday and when I tapped it, it would go to the left or right and then up into a circle and back down... is the hook not aligned right? or is that normal?

maybe she has a sister? ;D or maybe even a very distant cousin? lol

of course, fishin in one day! I could make my own lake, and do like gary yamamoto says when he doesn't feel pressured in tournaments cause he has money.

I almost didn't post anything, because my response would take away from this thread. however, this is for all those who will agree..... would this apply to a small lake where its deepest point averages 10ft? it makes sense why fishin isn't great after a rain at these particular places...

thank god y'all share what you know with me. I would be takin dynamite out to the lake, and that would ruin your fishin too. lol I can't begin to explain to y'all how much I appreciate and applaud the vast amount of knowledge you all share with us.

Hank Parker had this on one of his shows recently. the square lip makes the crank shake wider, also the back end of it sticks up and the front is down, keeping the body blocking the hooks from any structure. I haven't used one. tell us how they work.

ends up bein the fishin was great. many pods of baitfish bein chased by bass. some nice ones too. just need a boat to get to 'em when they aren't near the bank...

I searched around and didn't find anything about this topic. NC has a HIGH pressure warning for the state this week. I'm about to go fishing, but thought I'd ask this for future reference. how do the bass react to high and low pressure fronts?

my biggest bass I recently caught was on a live minner... he was a humble 7 1/2 pounds. I think he was bigger.

I have this theory as well. yanno, when me and my dad go fishin. we dont catch much. I have gone by myself and done good. my aunt goes fishing and outfishes everyone. she dont know how to fish! lol.. I asked her, "what are you thinking about when you fish?" she said, "about catching fish"... PROFOUND! as it sounded, I never thought of it! I always thought, "I'm not going to catch a fish."... until I changed that thought, I never caught fish! now I gotta keep remindin myself to think more positively. also, there's a story along these lines... A man was driving one night when he ran out of gas. the closest gas station was 15 miles. he looked around and there was a house far atop a hill. he proceded to walk towards this house to ask the man of the house if he could have some gas to get to the gas station and refill. on his walk up the hill, he began to think, "well, what if this guy doesn't have any gas?" a few minutes pass and he thinks, "well, even if he has some gas, will he have enough to give me?" then he thinks, "he might not even give me the gas, regardless if he has it and enough of it." he is almost to the house, while he is thinking, "yeah, this guy knows I need gas and he's going to enjoy not giving me any." he arrives at the house and rings the doorbell. the man of the house opens the door, and the man needing gas says, "I DIDN"T WANT YOUR STUPID GAS ANYWAYS!" and he walks back to his car.

I ain't got many answers to what you wana know. but I did stay at a holiday express last night. just kidding. I went night fishin, from around 10 - 12p.m. me and 2 other guys were usin top water, and let me tell you in advance, this was only a small pond. no lake, etc. we used a junebug topwater lure, that shakes from side to side. and I also was usin a frog/buzzbait. my main problem was getting the fish to hit the lure. they would go for it, but completely miss the lure. I had about 6 strikes in that time period, and every one of them missed. I dont know how this helps. thought I should share though.

recently I caught my biggest bass. I did'nt have my scale on me, but the guy I was fishing with said he was about 7 1/2lbs. I just got the pictures, I hate that I didn't have the scale... I think he was bigger, but I really can't say (being extremely humble). regardless, it has been my biggest catch for a largemouth.
