I never knew the impact that the failing housing market would have until now. We have recently been informed that our office is in a "vacancy freeze" which means we are not aloud to hire any new employees to fill the vacancies we have. This is due to the county's spending vs. its income which is mostly from real estate taxes. Funny thing is, we found out about our 250 million dollar deficit AFTER elections, as opposed to the 50 million dollar deficit BEFORE the elections.

when I was younger I used to go bream fishing with hotdogs. When they ran out I have used everything from gum, to grass, to a bare hook.

Wow, sorry to hear Dom. I've been in this situation a few times, except at jobs that I hated, so It wasn't to tough for me to say "see-ya". Your in a tough spot, But what is meant to be, will be. I think you'll be fine. There has been alot of good advice here on the board.
