I've seen this twice. Once on my way to work, In my rear view mirror. All I saw was a flash of light then a sound like a gunshot, and I noticed the pole was on fire. All the traffic lights went out. The other time I was fishing. Same thing, flash then it sounded like a gunshot.

Nice fish J, and Ron thats one crazy lookin bass sounds like the Trap is killin em'. I got one this weekend just burnin it. I guess the fish aren't as slugish as I thought in this cold weather.

yea, sounds like I just missed alot of you guys this weekend, after reading the other threads.

Well I didn't go out on thanksgiving, But friday I went out to the Occoquan river and was killing em on the x rap. I think I caught about 7 and a small yellow perch. Most small but two or three were keepers. Saturday I Started at Mercer and It was FREEZING. I got there at sunrise and could barely tie the lure on my hands were so cold. I didn't have any luck there so I headed back down to the Occoquan. Caught 3 there, only one being a keeper. Here's My best from Friday. She hit very softly then just became dead weight. The 6" perch hit harder. ;D

Most home stereos still have tape players, at least my does. I don't know how long until they completely stop making tape players. But the good thing is if you have alot of CDs you can just rip them into MP3s. No need to buy the same song.

Not sure. I don't like the taste of fish too much. Im pretty much C&R only. Im sure you can contact VDGIF and they would be able to tell you.

I do a little skateboarding, a lot less than when I was younger and my wounds would heal a bit faster. ;D My job has a softball team, we play the other agencies, and have a tournament at the end of the season. I also like to take the dog to all the surrounding parks and walk the hiking trails.

Where you goin? I gotta find out when Im seeing the family, but If not Thanksgiving, maybe another day this weekend.

man, Its only tues? I have to work tomorrow, and prob won't make it home until the sun starts going down. I have a four day weekend and have to get out at least two of these days, even if one is thanksgiving. Im goin nuts ;D If you want to set somethin up another day PM me.

I rarely visit burke because I really only get to fish on the weekends, and burke is PACKED on the weekends. I would like to try my luck and rent a boat on a weekday sometime next spring.

Sorry to hear about the troubles muddy. I ordered a combo from them earier this month. The rod came first, broken (not BPS's fault), without the packing slip and return shipping lable. Those were in the box with the reel that came three days later. I got the return shipping address off of the BPS website FAQ section, Only to find out later when my reel came in, that the zip code on the return shipping lable was different from what was posted on there website. So I spoke with a CSR that told me, "Oh that zip is for another department and thats whats holding your return up." "Well I know that now!!!" Im just going to wait a couple more days, then Im going to call back when I have a few HOURS to spare, and work my way up to someone who will do something about this. And then I'll never do business with them agian.
