I'm hoping to be there 10 and a half hours, 654 miles... Hopefully me and truffle will have the tracker done or I have a charger bass boat by then and something to tow it with. Truffle wants to go but I don't think he can b/c of school, probably see if my dad wants to come, show him a few tricks and techniques.

You have to go to the clearance section on the bass pro site, they have been on sale for like 2 weeks.... I'll hopefully be at the bass pro in tulsa this saturday with my dad... graduating college i think deserves some new tackle... lol j/k

It only gets better as you grow up, I'm 20 and my little brother is 18. He is my younger brother, but he isn't little anymore, he weight about 30 pounds more than me and about another 2 inches taller than me. My advice beat him up when its easy, then when you guys get older, and when he is possibly bigger than you, he won't mess with you. That is my solution know I have to straighten up my brother about once a year and its all good. Just remember he loves his brother and don't hurt him to bad b/c I always would feel bad if I hurt my younger brother to bad. my 2 cents

I love banner creek!!! Thanks for helping me remember the name, cuz i forgot what it was.... if u fish banner go south of the d**n and there is a creek channel that runs through there with a bunch of trees and grass up on the shallows... u can tear some fish up out there at this time of the year

take a look at the door switch, and unplug it, if it goes off immediatly you can take a small resistor and put in it and it should turn off. but the bad thing about that would be your door ajar light wouldn't come on... which could be dangerous... my dangerous 2 cents

I did some cutting/breaking on my okechobee fat box to fit them inside there, it doesn't do to bad

I'm using the cheaper version of the diawa viento, with a light action fenwick hmx... it does great, plus the rod, to me anyways, feels to have more back bone then some of my mediums. I can throw a 3 inch senko with no problem, actually that primarily what i use this setup for. hope this helps

I think it helps sensitivity, same with split grips, more contact with the blank in turn equals better feel for the bite. my 2 cents

When I first started I would get that way and pick up a spinning reel. It takes practice, the only time a really get a backlash is when i go from pitching and flipping to a cast... I don't know what it is but i flip and pitch everywhere. Slow down everyone gets some professional overrun, I like it when my boaters at tourneys get one, because when they do it its bad... plus i can hit most of the good spots that way

I just picked up a quantum accurists on a quantum tour pro rod for 63 bucks at gander this weekend. It was sitting on the rack that said clearance. Jay (truffle) picked it up complaining that is what he paid for his reel alone, so when asked about the model numbers cuz i didn't know that 500 and 501 where just left and right handed. So I picked it up and kept shopping, come to find out that they had the same combos for 150 bucks but they were gold reels instead of the blue. I got home traded jay out of his left hand model b/c i love lefties and he hates them. Just my lil bargain story of the week.

My class and instructors were talking about it today, we are a bunch of chrysler guys, and i can't think of one good thing to say. Great make the cars safer but why not free them up instead pretty much telling them exactly what they have to run. My theory at the moment is that toyota and nascar officials are sleeping in the same bed.... just a conspiracy theory but its mine

I have the cheaper version of the viento, i like it but i have it with the burner gear, which is the only thing i don't like. I throw my senkos with it, I like it but i have noticed especially after switching from another baitcaster i forget that bar is there unless im smoking and it makes things easier.... ya ya i know smoking is bad for me

I love my quantum accurists and you can pick them up for cheap, but im not a crankbait guy but i do know they handle heavier baits well.

I love my carrot stick, but i was also looking at the powell, but at that time the powell was slightly more expensive. Now that the powells have gone down in price I'm definitely going to have to get one before this year is over

I was there about a month ago and caught quite a few on the south bank on the west side of the bridge. Truffle was there and didn't catch anything a week ago, but we all know he isn't that good. I caught all my fish on a white spinnerbait with a gold indiana blade. The fish are there but you just have to find them, the heat is a killer out there, with how shallow the lake is.

You can find remington 1100's and 11-48 and 58's used for around 200 to 250. They are nice guns, about the only thing that goes wrong with them is the spring bushing but thats an easy cheap fix. the 870's are nice guns but I never have liked pumps, I started out with a mossberg 500, then bought a winchester 1300? semi-auto, bought an over and under then now i have a 1100. I haven't paid more than 250 bucks for any of the guns I have purchased. Go to local gun shows and look around there are always deals to be found, you just have to find them.
