Thanks Ron! I caught the LM in the picture with a white Booya Jig and chunk. The other two I caught with the Black Fury #3. I lost a huge one that spit the lure out as it jumped out of the water. I also lost another one at the bank but it wasn't bigger than the one in the picture. Overall, it was a great morning. Lures that I tried this morning were Green Senko (T-rigged and wacky), Black w/Blue flake tube and Medium twitch N Minnow.

Thanks guys! Yup, lucky to have a boss who not loves to fish and have a nice Nitro Boat. PKS, I don't remember what the temp was but the water was very clear. We were fishing in 6-7 feet of water along some grass line. Jay, It was near the Fort Belvoir base near the Army landing craft.

It was a chilly and raining this morning. However, my boss and I toughed it out for a few hours. I came out with this 2+ lb bass on a $1.99 Twitch N Minnow I bought at BPS. My boss told me they were hitting shad so I decided to throw on my Twitch N Minnow second I've caught with that lure by the way. Anyway, I was BSing with him on my retrieve when I stopped and WHAM it hit it. At first, his response was are you sure you have something on and not a log? Hahahahahaha... He's a funny guy by the way. Well here it is. Tight lines!

I'm off the week leading to Thanksgiving and 6 days after. The only morning I can't do anything is the day of Thanksgiving and the morning after. Other than that I'll be doing some fishing. Also, Jay or Ron if you want do some fishing Sunday morning let me know.

Jay, I'll be off, let me know something. I have been pretty busy lately with work but I plan on getting out more here soon. I will be going out on Friday if the weather holds up. I can also make it Saturday morning, so let me know.

Welcome aboard! Thanks for sharing your trip and as many here stated use google earth or online maps to help you find local ponds. I found a few drainage ponds on google earth that are about 5 minutes from my house.

Interesting question. I know the 5 dollar vinyl Poncho sold at dick's sporting goods work fairly well.
