  1. Cmon RW time to kill this thread.

  3. I fished Lunga today because I needed to renew my base permit. I had a bunch of Rage Tail baits destroyed by pickerel. I was skunked as far as bass go. I am thinking about launching at Aquia Creek tomorrow to fish the boat docks and pads.
  4. The Potomac River is muddy and it has a lot of debris in it. If you choose to go out in the main river, be careful. I am going out today but will stay in Aquia Creek rather than the main river. It will take a couple of days for the river to settle down after all of those down pours we had the last couple of days.
  5. Rushfactor, I hear you, this is happening all over Northern Virginia, it makes me sick. Most of these people that take all that they catch do not even have licenses. They also net fish and they do not obey the limits or the laws, plus they leave trash behind. It has got to the point where I do not shore fish much because of what is going on. Most of the locations where this is going on are loosing significant amounts of fissh and it will take quite some time for them to recover. VDGIF is doing a poor job monitoring Northern Virgina right now. Even when you call in complaints nothing gets done. Sorry to you guys that work for VDGIF but I am just stating facts. If you feel I am wrong I welcome the opportunity to discuss this issue with you.
  6. I am going to guess it is a solid 4.5lbs. It is time for you to invest in a scale, they are not that expensive.
  7. Congrats on the hawg Paul, you fish some awesome waters to be able to catch all of those hawgs. I am sure the Baby Rage Craw helped just a bit.
  8. Sorry about the temporary hijack. I bought a Midland two way radio with the weather alerts built in for less than $50. I check it every time before I leave the house and I keep it in my tackle box when I am out fishing. If the sky looks questionable I turn it on to find out what is going on. It has a rechargable battery to boot.
  9. Andrew, good report and it sounds like you had a good day out on the water. Just remember that the Potomac River conditions can change on a dime. You should also check for small craft advisories before you go out and watch the sky for storms rolling in. We got caught up in some real rough water one day, 2-3 foot waves.
  10. This worls well for repairing soft plastic baits. http://www.iovino.com/wormizer.html
  11. All you have to do is toss the baits out and then hold on tight. These baits are amazing and they are the only plastics that I use any more.
  12. WTG Kevin, that is a nice looking fish. What did you catch it on?
  13. Shaw did awesome drop shotting the Rage Tail lizard in that episode. He caught some nice looking bass.
  14. WTG Simon, I see quite a few packs of the Rage Tail baits in your picture. I purchased 100 packs of Rage Tail baits at $2.50 a pack a few weeks ago and just bought another 40 packs at $1.50 a pack a few days ago all from the Woodbridge, VA store. The store closes at the end of the month.
  15. The Anacondas are awesome and they catch nice fish. They are the only worms I fish.
  16. I hooked into a nice fish here a few weeks ago but she broke off.
  17. Good job with the Rage Tail lobster, those are some nice looking fish.
  18. BANDITBASSER, Captain John Avalos organized it, he can be reached via phone or the email below. He should be able to tell you how he arranged it. I am just trying to help him find some more boaters since they came up short. It would be nice if they could get all of the soldiers out on boats for the tournament. Otherwise some of them will have to fish from shore. Captain John Avalos: Phone: 352-857-0431 Email: teambasshunters@gmail.com
  19. Thats one nice looking hawg you got there Paul.
  20. WTG with the Rage Tails
  21. glad you joined us.
  22. WTG Micro, I agree the Rage Tail baits produce all the time for me too. That looks like a real nice place to fish.
  23. I use Rage Tail craws, space monkeys and lobsters on my swim jigs.
  24. Awesome job catching stripers Dan, those are some nice looking fish.
  25. All, They are looking for bass fishermen with boats to help out taking wounded soldiers out bass fishing this weekend. If you have a boat and you can help please contact Captain John Avalos at 352-857-0431 or via email at teambasshunters@gmail.com. They are trying to get all of the soldiers out fishing from boats, if they don't get enough boats some of the soldiers will have to fish from shore. This is an awesome opportunity to give back to the fine men and women of our military for putting their life on the line for us. I know this is short notice but they came up short and they would really love it if any of you folks can help them out. Jason and I are going to be participating in this event and are really excited about it. Take a Wounded Soldier Fishing May 16th and 17th 2009 East Potomac Park Washington D.C. Thanks for helping support the fine men and women of the military. Ron
