  1. Is that really your only realization?
  2. Does anyone have any information regarding history of bass fishing tournaments? How many bass tournaments annually? When was the first bass tournament? etc..
  3. I disagree with number two. You should bring what you need to bring, but still be respectful. Don't short yourself what you need to use for the day. Not all boaters are the better than you. If you have a suggestion voice it, if you were on fish tell him. You have money in the tournament as well so have a good time. If that includes talking go ahead. He knew what he got himself into when he signed up.
  4. I have fished FLW for a few years now. I fish it as a coangler in the BFL and also fish Collegiate.
  5. LOL ;D ;D how in the world did I miss all this today. You guys are ridiculous... I got a case of keystone a bottle of calico jack and going out to dinner tonight having a few beers and some saki. Then a night out on the town. Mike (Tin)- I challenge you to come to PSU and hang. Wayne (Speedbead)- There is nothing wrong with jolly ranchers and zima! Brent- Boone's farm is what 105 lb girls drink up here
  6. Hey Dale First I want to say congrats on a great tournament and a hell of a season!
  7. It all depends on where you are fishing and what baits you like to fish. I have been taking 4 rods, but sometimes will take 5. I also take a small tackle bag that fits 5 falcon boxes. I try to travel light, because I hate wasting time with tangled rods and reels. If you can get a general idea on what you will be throwing at the lake/river/etc.. then take the equipment necessary. For instance if I am fishing a Potomac tourney I will take 4 rods. I will take a frog rod, flipping stick, trebel hook rod, and a senko rod.
  8. Yes it was caught in Beltzville. Beltzville is a tough lake, but it can cough up some great fish. It was a windy day and the scale was moving as low as 6.5 and as high as 7. I just call it 6.5lbs. It was caught in season in the spring.
  9. I have never caught a smallmouth at that spot surprisingly. That is a community spot though, but a pain to stay on if the wind picks up. Nice fall/wintering spot.
  10. Since you can catch fish every trip you should start fishing tournaments, you could win a lot of money being so consistant on all the waters with the same baits.
  11. Nice smallie. I am getting mad that I don't know that exact spot. I live next to the lake and fish it a ton! My best guess is in the Pine Run cove near the launch.
  12. Can you see your post count rising yet? How did that answer the question or relate to anything?
  13. Now that your deep do you power fish with cranks slow roll spinnerbaits trying to pull it past their face and get a reaction bite or do you throw Gene Larew craws and so on..
  14. I am just wondering what you guys do when they just aren't eating. If you are strong with finesse fishing will you continue throwing your little jigs, dropshot, and shaky heads or will you switch to get a reaction bite? Would you switch over to stroking a jig, tube, cranking, spinnerbaits, and etc..? This question is specifically for post front conditions with cold water.
  15. I don't understand... what DIDN'T I have to say last night...
  16. ooo what the hell... Is there a way to block me from the hours of 11pm-4am?

  18. that wss sucked....
  19. mmmm fatty mc gafat fat... Mr quict fishing and jsut eat cheesy tacy burrito...you eat thts cheesy burrtrito and likes it...
  20. It really depends what you like to do. I know my home lake Beltzville in PA I will use spooks or jitterbugs on the flats and have a great time catching them in the spring/summer. People also catch a lot of quality stripers on chicken liver while fishing for catfish. You can also use baitfish down deep while drifting or troll lures such as deep taildancers. There are a ton of ways you can catch them.
  21. Saw Law Abiding Citizen... Awesome movie... and Mike is right on point with saying his character in this movie makes king leonidis (sp) look like a *****.
  22. Now that I know that she is 18. I will pick fishing with KVD. Where is the danger in being 18...
  23. Answer this.. is she 18?

It has never happened to me, but I am prepared for it. The tournaments I fish it is hard to backboat me, but if it would ever happen I doubt I would say anything. I would show it in my tip for the day though $0.

I am not sure what format you fish, but I meet my boater the day prior to the tourney. I will talk to him about what we are fishing. Then by thinking about the specific lake, past producing lures, and strengths I will make my choices. I used to stick with them the whole day producing or not. I have switched from that and have been doing a lot more finesse as of late. Finesse includes shaky head, bitsy bug jig, dropshot, and senko. I take 4 or 5 rods. What rods you take and what baits varies on many things. It will vary on season, your strength, structure, cover, depth, etc.. The back of the boat has its strengths and weaknesses. The boater has to use the trolling motor so in high wind sitiuations it is great being in the back of the boat. I never throw the same thing as the guy in the front unless he is catching fish after fish. I will often downsize and try to hit specific spots he misses or different angles. It is tough if you get backboated and you will need to play it by ear on the specific sitiuation, but somethings you can rig are c-rig or drag a tube deeper. Instead of having 3 rods each with a crank on I suggest a snap so you can quickly switch. There is sooo much info out there on back of the boat fishing. Check out BASS and FLW on their site.
