Toledo Bend today
Don't feel bad the Stren guys had a hard time as well as the college guys. First place for the college tourney was 18lbs and the 3 day stren was around 40 total lbs. Sounded like they did the best on jigs and c-rigs in deep grass.

The other 35 lbs - PACKAGES ON THE WAY
Even if I was in High School.... report card >.... I don't know how I made it into college.. let alone Penn State. Great thing your doing man!

Lake St. Clair
Saturday my partner and I fished all over the place trying different things. The lake laid down for about an hour on Saturday to the point where we could see weed beds. We fished the edges with dropshot/senko and caught two good ones. So our plan going into Sunday was to continue to fish the weed edges, but Sunday the wind was howling right out of take off. After about 30 minutes we scrapped it and fished canals for LM's. We caught a limit, but it was 14-16 inch fish. We were throwing dropshot/senko/jig/shaky head at the pilings and caught them. We went three team and caught 12/15 good enough for 4th place. My partner and I weighed in a small limit for 8.33 another team weighed in a 14 lb limit and the third team weighed in 2 small fish. Overall it was a great time. I got the chance to fish a great bass fishery and to meet Matt (Koop) and Maltese Falcon (Rick). I will add pictured later on when I get to it.

What species do you hunt?
from the age of 18-75.

Wow!
It all depends how big the smallest bass is. If the bass is a 12 inch bass the perch is still nice, but not huge. IF the smallest bass is 16 inches yeh its a HUGE perch.

PENN. ST.
I just saw this..... I have a top 3 lifetime hangover right now. My friends and I rented a big yellow school bus last night. We all brought coolers of anything and everything and went to some bar an hour away. I brought Franzia boxed wine for bladder slaps and I really wish I could take that back. If anyone knows a hangover cure I will ship them 3 oreos and 2 packs of twinkies.

BASS Reduces Co-angler's Limits to 3 Fish
Do you guys think that a livewell with an oxygenator and koolwell could hold 20lb+ limits?

Cirque du Soleil
haha.. Wayne you could eat most of those people. I look big compared to them!

Cirque du Soleil
I just went to Cirque du Soleil tonight in the BJC at Penn State. It was by far one of the coolest things I have ever seen! The showmanship was absolutely ridiculous. If anyone is within reasonable driving distance to Penn State I highly suggest going. The performance is about 2.5 hours and was a blast! You can get tickets at the window or from the Cirque du Soleil website.

Spanish...
I would definitely finish your Spanish minor. I have friends that got jobs just because they had a Spanish minor. Even though biology will help you get into a graduate program it is not relevant in your field. Spanish would be the way to go. Nothing worth getting is ever easy.

BASS Reduces Co-angler's Limits to 3 Fish
I think your right Ryan. The 3 fish limit would be great for the fisheries specifically in the summer tournaments. I think my problem is I am used to the tournaments around this area. The heat can still be a problem, but I doubt that it is anything close to what you guys face down south. I think I just like the 5 fish limit due to the fact that it is something to strive for.

VA - Snakehead hunt 2009 MISSION ACCOMPLISHED
Sounds like a great trip! I caught all of my snakeheads on either a topwater popper bait or a frog. I also found them in shallow water where they came off of the weeds or pads on shore in really dingy water.

BASS Reduces Co-angler's Limits to 3 Fish
I see what your saying, but the opens are basically the same as strens on the FLW side. At that level when your paying a grand to enter the tournament. I am sure there are a few idiot boaters, but far less then a BFL.

The Ultimate Fighter
I think that fight was rediculous... Roy aka fatty just laid on him and tapped him on the head for a few minutes. He had no power on the punches and was barely connecting.

If you could spend one summer
Its funny that you picked your home lake. I was going to say the same thing, but my home lake, or Port Bay on Lake Ontario. Its where I spent my summers as far back as I can remember learning how to fish for bass. The question was If you could spend a summer on one major body of water, to perfect your skills, understand big bodies of water and just over all better yourself as an angler what body of water would it be? It has been stated many times here that to truly become a better all around angler one must be able to be consistent on different bodies of water correct or not? Ask anyone who has fished Toledo Bend; it can easily be divided into 7 different bodies of water. One can learn a river system, shallow areas like Florida, rock & timber like a natural lake, 1,000s of acres of huge grass flats, deep water structure, sand bottom with little to no cover, & the dam area which is a creature all its own. Toledo would teach you more variety than any single lake Catt I disagree with you. You are still in the exact same climate with all those 7 lakes. Therefore I don't agree that it is the same as 7 different lakes. The structure and cover may match up, but don't you think fish in Texas will relate to those differently then the fish of say a northern lake.
