are there any bass clubs in ny? i see them but they look like all old people, do u think that they're willing to have younger 16 year old ppl in it?
  9. On the last pro tourney i watched all the bass were under the docks and near the boat launches.. but in a private lake like mine where those always people near the docks where would the fish be.

  12. I read a converstation online and somebody said that they thought live bait is kind of cheating and i didnt know what to think... Then they said fish finders are kind of cheating cause that takes the fun out of fishing.. What is your take on this. I couldnt see why live bait is, maybe fishfinders but not live bait. Do fishfinders work?
  13. I would take a 10lber anyday over some small ones, the record in my lake it i think 8lbs. I would be a hero and get all the girls. Then i would enter in some local tourneys cause i would be so proud
  14. I moved up from the bronx when i was like 10 and i used to see every1 hunting, riding snowmobiles or quads and to my family that stuff was different. So now last fall 5 or 6 years later i figure i am going to go buy a fishing pole and see why everyone says its so fun. I bought some spinners and went out on the lake. I didnt even catch a largemouth bass, i wound up catching like a 30 inch pickerel and it was so big my spinner hook bent and it fell right back into the water. Thats the best rush I have ever felt and i moved on to bass fishing. I have been hooked ever since. I am just waiting to catch the big one. YANKEE LAKE MELT ALREADY
  15. i read it starts when the water hits 50 degrees
  16. how come on espn they recommended using 65lb test for bass fishing? then the next guy recommends 40lb test..but then other people say use 8lb..which is it? ; ???

  18. you also have to remember that the strongest survive and well we're stronger then fish so we win. I'm sure if the fish could eat us they would, they dont think twice about eating livebait or our lures!!

  20. Want to talk about cold my lake is still frozen and I just want to get out there. The ice is like 2 inch thick then like 3 feet of water then another layer of thick ice. I can tell cause theres a creek right there and the ice is melted only like 20 feet out. We cant wait for fishing so we just were joking and casted out a pole.
  21. I live in ny in sullivan county and this is going to be my first big year for fishing. Last year i got started late and was stuck pickeral fishing. How much after the ice finally melts is it possible to catch a bass? Or right after and what lures are good. Please help
