I Touched It, Held It And Caressed It!
Yea, you're screwed...the NRX seems to be the most popular stick to match with these reels. From what you saw and felt...pros/cons?

Highest Gear Ratio Available In Spinning Reels?
Up until recently, Shimano reels tended to have higher IPT numbers than Daiwa. I looked at the specs for some of Daiwa's new spinning reels, and they appear to have closed the gap.

Curado Vs Fuego Question
No sweat buddy. Ghoti is spot on about the 4BB handle upgrade; the difference is night and day on both the Fuego and Sol.

Curado Vs Fuego Question
Yea, it only took long enough. I simply did not have an open, heavier worm rod for the Fuego. Both my Fuego and Sol are tuned, and both have their place for sure. I made the finesse comment for those without a lot of experience, fishing the Fuego out of the box.

Anybody Know These Guys?
Yup, that'll so it. Sounds like it was a blast.

Anybody Know These Guys?
Nice surprise, and nice pics. What were the hot baits?

Curado Vs Fuego Question
It took me quite awhile to find a permanent home for my Fuego. It's not that I don't like the reel, because I do, but it is unique: large line capacity, lightweight, not the best for true finesse. It finally found a home on a DX744. I use this rig for long casts off of my dock, as that is where I do the majority of my bass fishing, and cast jigs and worms. I spool the Fuego with 12-15lb fluoro, and it has the necessary capacity for these lines and this presentation. It also excels at tip down presentations, where heavier line is needed. For those who fish some topwater baits with heavy mono, the fuego is a great option: it is quite light, and will help prevent some pain in the wrists/hand/arms for those walking the dog all day.

Dobyns Champion Extreme
As Midnight and BassThumb have said, you'll be quite happy. You can really cover a lot of apps with those two sticks. I use my DX703/Steez 100HLA for small jigs, t-rigs, and 3/8oz spinnerbaits. I use my DX744/Fuego for 1/4oz rubber jig/beaver combos as well as larger t-rigged worms.

Jerk Baits
Same here buddy. Not many people do, and that's ok with me.

Plastic In Strong Current
Braid with a fluoro leader will help with sensitivity, thus helping to identify the strike and get a positive hook set.

Christmas Exchange 2011
I've not gotten them wet yet. I've fished once since this summer, and autumn is my prime-time for hair jigs...for bass and pike. I am going to try to get out this weekend. Family issues have prevented me from fishing much this year.

Let's See Those Pumpkins
Very cool. I did a few pumpkins, but haven't taken pics...you're not missing anything though, as I have the carving skills of a small child. Lol. I do have some pics of my costume: http://s671.photobucket.com/albums/vv77/Scarlet_Winter78/?action=view¤t=128.jpg http://s671.photobucket.com/albums/vv77/Scarlet_Winter78/?action=view¤t=131.jpg

Christmas Exchange 2011
Upon seeing this thread, I realized I never posted pics of the goodies Bone-Head sent me in last year's exchange. I feel like a real jerk here; not only for the exclusion, but he sent me some fantastic stuff. I thanked him in text, but never posted photos for everyone to see. I am going to take some pics all of the awesome jigs David sent me, and post. A huge I'm sorry to Bone-Head. I'll send a PM too buddy. That said, I'm in for this year's exchange.

Cardinals And Rangers In World Series
No doubt, freakin' epic. As much as I hate the cards, it was a fantastic ballgame. I am getting tired of hearing about how the cards made the playoffs. All attention is on them and their 'magical' Sept, though the media forgets it took a historic collapse by Atlanta for the St.L to win the wildcard. Oh yea, they forget to mention the cards' Sept series against Cinci, Pitt, the Mets, Cubs and Astros.

College Roomate?
Jebus people! Can we please refrain from referring to GLBT individuals as "one of them," "we had one," "those people," etc? Even if you don't mean it negative manner, it is perceived that way. Are people seriously that ignorant in this day and age??? One of the beautiful things about college, is it should help people see the error in these ways.

How Much Do You Eat
I just saw this, sorry for the delay. My best advice is to immediately dump the wings onto the table. They come out straight from the fryer, and the temp of the wing itself is freakin' nuts...have a few cocktails beforehand as well.

Good Catfish Dough Recipe
Tying the bait in small patches of nylon stockings helps. Dipping the bait in cice waterater prior to casting, for a minute or two, can help as well.

Hightower Dead At 66
ESPN really ticked me off with their handling of the story. I was watching SC the night he passed, and those !&*(&^$#$^)^$ spent more time on what Lebron had tweeted that day, than they did with Bubba.

Good Catfish Dough Recipe
Cut several panfish into chunks, and place in a Styrofoam cooler. Add a small tub of crawlers, flour, cornmeal, a tin of dip, and any half-full bottles of old fishing scent you've been meaning to toss. Wrap covered cooler in duct tape, and place on the roof of your garage for a few days. Mix. Enjoy.
