  1. I plan on using it for casting cranks off of our dock. I want to see how it handles Fat Mini D-7's and Deep-X 100's. If those are a bit too light, I'll put it to work chucking Flat CB DR's and Zoom Z-4's. I'm curious as to how it will handle deadsticking Staysee's in the Spring as well. I missed the boat on the Python...someday though, as it's versatility really appeals to me.
  2. I have not fished the Poe's in depth, but I believe I have read several complaints about inconsistencies with the bait.
  3. I expect some quality pics. BTW, do you know anything about the Shootist? This will be my first experience with a MB stick.
  4. Are you referring to the Cyber Shootist? Nope. Will post pics once I get it. Since they only had two White Pythons, you must have went with an uber top shelf stick. Bamboo perhaps? I went with the Shootist, as I can really use a two piece crankin' stick.
  5. Are you referring to the Cyber Shootist?
  6. No doubt; she can really fill out a pair of jeans.
  7. When I was working on my undergrad, I was a student in southern Indiana. Portions of the state do not recognize DST...that got a little weird. Well, that and the whole dry Sunday thing. I remember trying to secure some beverages for the first Packer game of the season, and we had to drive with a legal foreign exchange student waaay into KY for suds. That sucked, as I felt pretty crappy about wasting Tsuyoshi's morning.
  8. Cheech: Hey, how's my driving, man? Chong: I think we're parked Clary (from backseat): LOOK!! A UFO!!! That's one of my favorite lines from the entire movie. I'm a big fan of the 'who is dis is' scene as well.
  9. It's mostly Maui Waui man, but it's got some Labrador in it.
  10. five.bass is correct. About a year ago, lurenet.com offered a year's worth of their pro-staff discount, for a one-time fee. I hope they do it again for 2011.
  11. Why wait on TW? Yup. Half-off is quite nice. 8-)
  12. Haven't heard anything about one being in the works. That's not to say it's not, but I just haven't personally heard anything. Sorry. No sweat. Thanks for the reply. If they were to release these, I know I'd buy one. It only makes sense for them to release a crankin' sub-series in the Savvy lineup. If not, Powell for the win.

Mike, If I could only have one pair of Costa's, I'd go with green mirror. It's on an amber based lens and tends to be just slightly darker than the plain amber. If I get to have two pairs, I'd go with an amber set for low light, sightfishing, etc and silver mirror for those bright bluebird days. I believe the green mirror is a copper based lens, as is the silver mirror. Copper lenses are the best all around lens in my opinion. They can handle bright sunny days and still allow for great clearity when site fishing. Actually, I think we're both right although it depends on the type of lenses you chose. 580's=copper, 400's=amber. My green mirrors are on 580 lenses and to my eye the copper base is a touch darker than the amber. I've been thinking about buying a pair of 580's in green mirror for driving on sunny winter days; the glare off of the snow can be downright blinding.
  14. Any word on some crankin' sticks in the Savvy series?
  15. If I am not mistaken, the actions are much faster on the x-fast/fast Endurance sticks. They also sport new lengths as well.
  16. A few years back, I was Count Chocula for Halloween...fun times.
  17. I'm not totally familiar with the climate in your area, but do you plan on fishing with this stick in early spring or late fall? If so, and if you have freezing temps during these periods, iced-over guides could be a problem. I have had to bust/suck ice off of my guides more times than I can count, and all my sticks have conventional sized guides; I can only imagine how easily micros ice over.
  18. Is it corndog?
  19. Yea, that thing has the Northwoods written all over it.
  20. Did you go over 50lb fluoro for the large bass baits? Agreed, Cortland is the stuff for jigs and plastics.
  21. Beefcake!!!
  22. I have tried the BBZ-1 4" shad for pike while in Canada and was disappointed with it. I did much better with hard jerkbaits like lc pointer 100's & 128's Sorry for the jack, but what kind of leader were you using with the Pointers?
  23. It was the last Loomis rod on the rack. MUR844C. Awesome. That will make a great all-around bucktail stick. Great deal.
  24. Yea, that sucks. I'm not a twinkies fan, but I loathe NY.
