Golf course
The absolute best day I have ever had was on a golf course lake in SC. My friend and I caught 200-250 mainly on buzzbaits and they were all decent fish (2 1/2 - 5lbs). Probably the reason I am so consumed with fishing to this day 10 years later.

poppin your line
I actually have great results from the line popping technique. I would say I am good for about 50-60% of the time in most types of cover. The key is getting the right amount of slack when it pops and then have it reload before its all done. (Sounded clearer in my mind)

If you want to become a bass pro?
I would say a Business degree with a concentration in Marketing (Or atleast I hope that will be the best since that is what I got ;D ) Also take a few Public Speaking classes so you can promote your "Brand" and sponsors better. My best friend even took a class on weather patterns which I think would be very helpful but the college I went to did not offer one.

Flouro on dropshot rod?
I would use 6 or 8lb 100% Trilene but another line I have used and liked a whole lot for drop shotting is 6lb Trilene Sensation. It has less stretch than mono but is easier to manage than fluro. I use both at different times. Mainly Fluro for deeper than 20-25' and Sensation less than 20'.

Been going night fishing and getting skunked. Tips?
I would throw a black buzzbait and fish it as slow as you can. A little tip to get it to stay on the surface at slower speeds is to add more cup to the buzzbait blade. Make sure you keep it fairly even from one side to the other or it will not operate smoothly.

Megabass XPOD
T-Rig - Are you on Banana Breath's pay roll or something?! Seriously, that looks awesome and I agree I'm gonna have to get Japanese lure descriptions for Dummies or something.

Best flipping stick around $100
I would recommend the Crucial 7'6" flipping rod. It is a few dollars more than the 100 and not telescopic but I love the two that I have. ;D (So I guess of the criteria that you put out there we met one - being the flipping stick! haha)

drop shotting at night
Zoom Trickworm or V&M Needle Worm (8") T Rigged or C Rigged will always put fish in the boat at night for me. Also the new G Tail by Zoom looks like a nighttime killer!

What's the best square-billed crankbait 3 - 9 ft depth?
I love the RC series but also take a look at the Speed Trap baits. They even have a bait color called Delta Craw though I'm sure it would be better probably prespawn.

I beat the bait monkey
;D Spoken in true bait breath fashion! (I am typing this as he is breathing down my neck in regards to a Revo Winch)

Carrot Stix 7'3" MH - Good crankbait rod?
I think my 6'9" MH has a slower tip than most MH's so I was thinking the 7'3" would be similiar but I have yet to really see one to tell. I typically like a rod with a lot of tip but for the bigger baits I want one with a little backbone to get the bait farther on a cast.

Tackle Giveaway
While I was not at the Roadtrip, I have used the KVD Line and Lure and can attest for its productivity. It is excellent stuff (much better than competitors' products) and I will be using that product from here on out. Thank you KVD Line and Lure for a great product!

Carrot Stix 7'3" MH - Good crankbait rod?
I have the 6'9" MH Carrot Stix and love it for spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and Basstrix style swimbaits. I am in need of a Crankin rod for DD22's and DT16's and other deep crankbaits. Does anyone have the 7'3" Carrot stix that they have used for these larger crankbaits? I would think it would be perfect for the technique but wanted some feedback before pulling the trigger on it.

Shimano Curado D Series Reels....Discontinued???
Because I switched all of my baitcasting needs from Shimano to Abu partly because the one 200D I have gets used less than my old Curado 200 SF Green reels. That D series 200 is a paperweight if you ask me. Definitely not holding in the Shimano tradition of making superior reels.

Crankbaits in Grass
A Mann's 1- is a great bait as well as a Bandit Footloose. Give them a shot over the shallow grass.

Fluke hookup problems
I think it is probably a combination of line size ( having too much stretch ), rod not having enough backbone, and the hook possibly has to large of a diameter compared to the rest of your tackle. I think if you go up either an action in your rod or up a line size or possibly two should help your hook up ratio. Another idea is to add a treble hook to the shaft of the main hook similiar to a trailer hook on a spinnerbait.

Disappointed *sigh*
Wow a 20" length limit is pretty stiff! Those two bass would be kickers in most everyone elses bag. Tough Luck but looks like ya'll are on the right path. I bet that smallmouth was fun though!

What baitcaster in the 200.00 range?

New Spinnerbait setup, Looking for some advice
I use Big Game as well but unless I am fishing the bait deep and need it to stay down I use 20lb regardless of the water color. If I am fishing a small spinner bait (1/4 or smaller) or wanting to get the bait down deeper in the water column than 5' or so I will go to 15lb Big Game. I have used these set ups to catch fish with clarity as good as 7 - 8' visability.
